Please pray for F, a really nice, kind young lady. She has a teeth grinding problem and gets pain in her jaw. Her mom recently had a heart attack and is resting, recovering . F's dad also needs prayer. He is going for a check-up soon for shortness of breath. Pray they will all come to...

    What is your dream vacation/outing?

Thanks. So they were the original settlers? The prisoners? Btw, years ago I was in the travel field for awhile. Never got to Australia though. But I remember hearing about Cooper Pedy. Isn't that where they mine opals and it is so hot that they have to live underground? That was...

Talking to strangers is the best thing for mental health

I think it helps people not to feel alone....like even saying hi to neighbors. Some of my neighbors have become friends because I always greeted them. Now that I'm a senior citizen, some even help me get some groceries since I don't have a car anymore.

Talking to strangers is the best thing for mental health

I can understand your situation. I usually greet everyone. But once in a while, there might be a person that you can't greet. You discern that it might be dangerous to do so. Btw, if you don't mind telling, what State are you in? If you prefer not to say, that's ok.

Sin pardoned, sin subdued by J.C. Philpot

From Daily Blessings....by J. C. Philpot “You will subdue our iniquities; and will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.” - Mic 7:19 Sin subdued is the next greatest blessing to sin pardoned; and wherever God pardons sin, he subdues sin; for the same grace which saves sanctifies...

    What is your dream vacation/outing?

Forgive my ignorance....who are the Poms? Is it true that Australia was a penal colony and settled by their descendents? Or did you mention they asked for more Europeans to come and settle there? Australia would make an interesting topic if anyone feels inclined to do that.

Renovating old buildings, properties, homesteads, etc

I used to watch the Flipping Boston, Flipping CT, Flipping San Diego, Flipping Atlanta and Flipping San Antonio, TX. Amazing how they convert homes in disrepair into beautiful homes.

    British TV shows

I did watch several of Professor T. Then it seemed later on there was another Professor T....a different actor? I liked the first one better. Inspector George Gently sounds familiar. In the US, Monk is currently on Cozi TV which shows all older TV shows.

    British TV shows

I forgot about Sister Boniface! Did see a few episodes of her. But really love Father Brown. Father Mateo and Inspector Brunelli were on PBS a good many years ago (Italian mysteries). They also had light humor in them. I wish they would put them back on TV. Speaking of mysteries with...

    British TV shows

Just watched Endeavor a couple of times. For some reason, I prefer Inspector Morse with the older actor. Have seen some episodes of Shetland.

    British TV shows

Does anyone else enjoy British mysteries on TV? I especially like Father Brown, the crime solving priest. Lovely scenery of a English village and the mystery is light. Based on novels written by a pastor. Usually watch Death in Paradise, love the Caribbean scenery. Again it's a light...
