I found it to be a religious issue. I was converted, meeting Jesus for the first time at age 24. After years of smoking, growing, and dealing, I found that the weed wasn't making me happy and more, in fact I didn't like the state of mind I was getting into and was one the verge of looking for...

After reading Davy's posts, I now understand all there is to know regarding the concept of pontificating.

There's a fourth not generally considered by any because of its source, but it's more biblical, has less holes, makes more sense, and offers a much happier end for all involved. My advice would be to disregard all those three and go back to the Bible.

Just to throw in another perspective... Jude could be speaking of angels. After all, it is the angels who gather the elect from the four corners of the earth yes? So it is entirely reasonable to think Jesus comes from heaven with His angels for the greatest event in human history. Second, there...

Speaking of constitutional rights, what do you make of this little tidbit of unknown and relatively obscure information... "On 28 October 1835, at the home of British Resident James Busby in Waitangi, 34 northern chiefs signed He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni (known in English as...

So Francis isn't consistently Catholic? And you're upset because I believe he is? And I'm lying about the Catholic teaching that one must be good to be saved? You're saying one doesn't have to be good to be saved? Can you please explain then what the Catholic teaching is then for justification...

Doesn't the Bible say a little whine is good for the stomach?

I'm lying in stating Francis is being consistently Catholic? Or... I'm lying about the Catholic teaching that one must be good in order to be saved?

Being a good person has nothing to do with being saved. However, I have no issue with Francis saying good people go to heaven. That is Catholic teaching. Francis is being a good Catholic. It isn't Christian or biblical teaching, but it's Catholic and Francis is being consistently Catholic. But...

KJV Romans 6:3 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Sorry bro but that was way over my head. I'm sure it made sense to some and I don't doubt the veracity of your argument. But you lost me at "unpredictable windows of opportunities which takes away the ability to do photon upgrading" and it all went downhill from there lol.

New Zealand is more expensive than any of those Australian States. We have found power way cheaper here in Victoria than what we were paying in NZ.

What is the climax of human history? Is it the egocentric motivated fear of hell or hope of reward... Or is it the Christ centered higher motivation of the Bride being ready for her Husband? The climax is the marriage of the Lamb. And the bride is not ready. The "making ready" of the bride...

Theologically I cannot really agree with this. We do overcome by doing good. We overcome by faith. By believing in God's promises that He will strengthen and uphold us in times of need. That when we confess our sins, He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You are right. I have never met...

Now at long last the premier inn Victoria has relaxed the restrictions. All retail now open albeit limited numbers in stores. Slightly larger gatherings in and out, travel restrictions still in place until perhaps next week. I am happy for all the businesses and workers. BUT.... So the reason...

Why not?/

Aren't we already new creatures in Christ?

Yes, I think unfortunately that there are many who were buried alive in baptism. The one that came up never died. Thus the new person is but an idea and a futile hope that can never overcome sin.

People who are only idealists in character will not be with Christ in glory. The whole purpose of the gospel is that people be fully converted. Who become practical wholly committed fully functioning children of God. The gospel is not an idealistic dream. The gospel has power.

For the life of mei cannot understand Australian politics. In Victoria the Australian Labor party is left wing liberally thinking where gay rights and sex education in schools (safe schools) are promoted and practiced. In South Australia is the opposition, the Liberal party, who is sponsoring a...
