Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

then why is the church not living in the land given Israel in peace because she has obeyed God? Why is the church still scattered amongst the nations, which was the punishment for Israel for sinning against God?

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

No one is claiming this is what it means.. No one is claiming this is what it means No, it is still set in stone.. Because the above to examples is not what it is.

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

lets just take the defenition in the passage itself. 70 weeks are determined for your people (literally 70 sevens) so each week is for a length of seven years. using this interpretation and keeping in step with the flow. 1 week equals 7 years. there is absolutely no reason to believe...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

Your right, it is not in the bible. Neither is the word trinity again, it is the name given to a theology that claims the church replaces Israel hence the term replacement theology I have also heard the term covenant theology

You tell me, Your the one who follows that theology. What promise was given to Israel. that people claim now belongs to the church

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

then its not the covenant in vs 27 vs 27: Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week hence there is no further discussion

Daniel 9:27 the covenant to be confirmed

No one knows what the covenant is because it has not confirmed yet. although there are many guesses
  9. Eternally Grateful

    Understanding : Acts 2:38

No, its for discussing the purpose of water baptism.
  10. Eternally Grateful

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

How about this I will humble myself and say I guess you could say Jesus confirmed and ETERNAL covenant with his blood (or more than likely when he was resurrected) if you can humble yourself and admit that the he of vs 27 confirms one covenant for 7 years. as written.

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

thanks for your view I have yet to see a 7 year covenant, let alone a 7 year covenant in which in the middle of that 7 years. the person who confirmed it broke it. Maybe you can show me one? Yet sacrifice and burnt offering continued for another almost 4 decades. He did not stop it and by...

    Understanding : Acts 2:38

nope. this is in error Again this is in error The error comes because you are not interpreting the greek word baptizo (to be placed into ) correctly Again, this is in error The recieved the gift, when the HS baptized them into Christ and into his death, no water was involved or infered...
  15. Eternally Grateful

    Understanding : Acts 2:38

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Jesus will baptize everyone, which one is for each individual to decide. what occurs with...
  16. Eternally Grateful

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

It has not been written yet It has not been confirmed yet and it has not been broken yet but if Jesus just died, you would not know if God accepted his sacrifice. the fact he rose from the dead CONFIRMS God accepted his sacrifice in full Your right, there is only one, which will be confirmed...

Why are some interpreters not being honest with the text involving Daniel 9:27?

I see all prophecy as a tool used by God to tell us years in advance of things that will occur. Anmd when those things happen. the people alive them can be drawn to God because he said they would happen. They did, and that points to this one God who can tell of future events years in advance...
  18. Eternally Grateful

    Understanding : Acts 2:38

Romans 6, 1 cor 12, gal 5, col 2 John said Jesus will baptize with the HS or with fire. I do not wish to be baptized in fire.. No one should desire to be immersed into the fire that will never be quenched (hellfire) but everyone will be baptized by God. we need to chose which one
  19. Eternally Grateful

    Understanding : Acts 2:38

Actually read what this says He is speaking to individuals here. Every one of YOU.. Different that the first command, where he told all of them to repent. Also. the gift of the spirit points back to repenting, Not baptism. And baptism is not in order to recieve remission of sin, That was...
