Hi Taken,,,, I won't be a part of this discussion with the other member.... However, I did have a thought on this. Did Jesus say from the cross. FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO. Luke 23:34 Is Jesus saying here that GOD didn't know what HE was doing because those that killed...

The Early Christians did not consider the "wafer" to be only symbolic. They placed a lot of importance on this wafer. Here is a comment by Justin Martyr: Justin Martyr (100-165): Christian philosopher and apologist First Apology(155 A.D), chapter 66 And this food is called among us the...

I hate having words put in my mouth. When did I say I worship a physical object? What I said is that JESUS said it is His body and blood... I said I'M NOT SURE. And I don't believe we can be. If theologians are completely split on this...how could we know for sure what is true? This has...

I do wonder how old you are PJ. The above is NOT what the church always taught. It has changed a lot however, and this should be known.

Know why? The most important things priests do are: The Mass Confession If we take confession away---what would be left? Confession did not exist in the early church. This is the teaching on sin: Venial sins do not have to be confessed. It is RECOMMENDED that one go to confession anyway at...

Very good and concise answer! Easy to understand. When I think of THE ANTI-CHRIST --- maybe the singular one the N.T. speaks of... I DO think of one that comes to command in an important, life-changing way and that takes the place of God---just as you've stated... He might be the person that...

Hi Taken... Just saw this.... Been busy on another thread. But I agree with you re @Kermos. Another one that calls people liars. I will no longer reply to such types. There's a word in Italian for them... It is ROZZO. It means ROUGH in English.... But in Italian it MEANS MUCH MORE... but I'm...

I agree QT. Salvation is wherever God is. And God is everywhere! The Catholic Church did not invent salvation. God did...way back in the O.T. And He taught us how to be saved.... the clearest way was with Jesus.

I doubt you see many... ladies don't like to hang out with your type.

YOU'RE A WASTE OF EVERYONE'S TIME. THEY SHOULDN'T EVEN BE SPEAKING TO YOU.

You have done nothing over and over but diminish me AND the catholic church with your lies, and your lies are purposeful.... I replied to Canon Law ECFs Vatican Officials Pope John Paul II You presented NO PROOF except one article that repeated the word DISCIPLINE and it didn't even mean what...

Marks, I'd like to reply to your post no. 17, but tomorrow morning so I could concentrate. Perhaps we could discuss this book a little to hear varying views... I mean scholarly varying views....I certainly don't know enough of the difference. As to the above... AMEN!

@marks I do want to say this. We shouldn't be intimidated by the fact that we're learning more and more about the bible. This is a good thing. If we could be honest about our bible,,,maybe more young kids would be drawn to it. There is a problem with them,,,both in the catholic and...

P.S. You've read Canon Law? I'm impressed. I've made it my business to stay away from that. Too much to know and I've never needed it. I did have to know pretty much "everything" about catholicism. NOBODY knows everything. It's too complicated.

It's OK PJ. I've done my share of dry reading. How's this: CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Excommunication Have fun!

P.S. For those that don't know.... that's kind of like if Clinton tried to impeach himself.

That's too funny PJ.... I won't even reply to it. Could you explain ex-communication BTW? What exactly does it mean?

Nothing to add...you've said it all. I especially like your first paragraph.... This had me very upset about 3 years ago. Too many are asleep.... The Middle East is in shambles, I mean Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Libya -- so many countries, not all listed here.... I'm happy some people are...

Hi G,,, If I can't translate something...Google sure won't be able to! Expressions are difficult to translate but what I told you comes very close. IOW, the one with more brains will stop first. Regarding my pride being wounded.... Let me assure you that only those I love could wound my...

Do you agree that it really doesn't matter? Later.
