Has Jesus come in the spirit?

Christ "lowering" Himself and coming in the flesh, He did by becoming a man "a little lower than the angels." But this He did "once for all", so the idea that He would do it again is against the scriptures, against Jesus saying "It is finished", and against the belief that He has already come in...

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

Except in us (Christ in us), He will not lower Himself again (the Word become flesh and a light into darkness), for he said, "It is finished."

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

In this manifest world..."bodily" form is to be expected. Nonetheless, there is an natural body and there is a spiritual body. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the spirit is spirit.

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

Indeed, God has said in every form to every person, “Awake up! Come forth and be healed.” But this world is a "created" world, a "likeness" (even hypothetical) of that which is true on high. When the word says "It is written", it is not just saying that it is written in the scriptures, but also...

    The Jazz Man

All who are born of the flesh since Adam are evil. But since Christ has done away with that enmity against God in His body, indeed it is only in the mind: Romans 8:7 "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God"

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

You apparently are relying on your own understanding of the words alone, for "has" and "is" are the same. This explains a lot. That all is evidence of having His word, but not His spirit. Keep praying. Meanwhile, that spirit which accuses, is not His spirit.

    Spiritual versus Religious

:) So glad that a house with two wings, many [different] members and mansions, and a cornerstone whom is the Lord, weathers all!

    Spiritual versus Religious

I just hope that we can clearly not be sending seekers and babes to wolves in sheep's clothing in the name of "religion."

    Spiritual versus Religious

I want to compliment you in that explanation...because it can be said of both religion and spirituality. Both can be pure and of God, and both can be far from Him.

    Spiritual versus Religious

The problem is, you still seem to present them as being equally perfect and from God. That just simply isn't true, and to give the impression that a babe can trust religion as they can trust God himself...requires serious clarification. Which, then is indeed comparable to works...a lot of which...

    Spiritual versus Religious

What I have pointed to is collaboration of the meaning of the verse. Which was some of James' advice on fulfilling the great commission, to go and "make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all...

    Spiritual versus Religious

I don't want to argue that religion has no place. Not at all. But your description, though I understand your thinking it would be a great loss if we did not have it, does not cover all; and I would like to suggest that you consider that you in fact have it backwards in terms of what is most...

    Spiritual versus Religious

Of course James would have been speaking in practical terms to those of his time. But as for those same words being immortalized in the scriptures, surely in the greater scheme of things, he also means: to the Jew who came up under their Father God, and also to the gentile who has espoused the...

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

Is He (Jesus) in you? Have you heard Him knocking, opened the door, and let Him in?
  15. ScottA

    Spiritual versus Religious

Okay...let' unpack it. The idea of "your spirituality" with regard to God's spirit, does not exist. If one is born of God, it is God's spirit. If it is not God's spirit, it is evil. Those are the only biblical choices. "Religion" on the other hand, simply means to give reverence to God (or the...

    Spiritual versus Religious

No...what an abortion idea. God is spirit. It's called: God.

    Spiritual versus Religious

I would say it in this way: Religion is what people believe, but spiritual is rather what is.

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

That is the wrong question. You should be asking: How could every eye see in the flesh if a thousand generations' bodies have already returned to the dust and their spirit to God who gave it according to the scriptures? Some have assumed that their bodies will be raised up the last day, but...

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

They already have: Luke 10:18 "And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."
