Spirit gives birth to our dead spirit. But only when we look to the cross. Jesus made that very clear. as moses lifted the serpent, so to must the son of man be lifted. that WHOEVER BELIEVES will never perish, but has life (eternal) You skip this part of john 3, and in doing so miss the main...

Acts 2: 38 is sadly a poor English translation of what Peter actually said. Peter told everyone to repent (2nd person plural) He told them if they did, they would receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Again send person) He them told individuals to be baptized (3rd person singular) on account...

I prayed a sinners prayer for weeks before I was born again. Just saying a prayer does not save you. It was not until I understood what I was praying for when a deacon took me into a room and walked me through the book of John that I truly repented and cried out in faith. It was then that I was...

John 3 says that very thing No one looks to the cross to be born again unless they chose..

3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you [a]that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed [b]among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so...

I wonder if it comes from fear.. They are so afraid just believing is them saving themselves.. which is nonsensical when one really looks at it/.

Modern day pharisees reject the cross They don;t need it. They think their works are good enough.

Your can;t pay your debt, If you could Christ came in vein. why spit on the cross like you do?

The problem is you enter it. You don;t stop at the entrance and keep trying to get through it. Once your in your in., Now you spend a lifetime running the race of life.. Think of it this way, Once you enter. The door is sealed (the HS)

I do not get what they see in that theology. She is a little different.I had a John 3 discussion and that is where we separated in our views..

Amen.. Calvinism is evil. And she has been promoting it..

She has been on about this for awhile

are you seeking to be baptized by God. or baptised in water?

in 1 cor. he is talking about a ceremony of breaking bread in remembrance of Christ. This basically took over from the Passover meal the Jews had to remember Egypt. As for sharing what you have, if you see someone in need help them, if you have the means..

Interestingly enough. the word in greek means to cut into a straight path, To Guide along a straight path, To be smooth, To lead in the right direction.

I am sure esau himself is in heaven (although a calvinist will disagree) My point is there are no edomites today.. Because as a nationality, they have ceased to exist, Only Israel has been kept a remnant..

I am not sure how he keeps going..

There is a reason you keep a remnant Have you ever heard of a remnant from the edomites? How about the Jebusites> or the hittites? or the canannites? Because they are done, Gone forever. God promised Israel would never die.. and he keeps his promises.. Thats why he keeps a remnant...

he won't amen, Just like he will never leave them.. They have a special place in his heart. It will nto save them eternally. But he keeps a remnant for a reason. Because he is not done with them..

I am bent, but your the one saying you can save yourself by your own righteousness? Your the one making him out to be a liar. I am not righteous, I have his righteousness in me.. Just like abraham did, Because he believed God. I am not religious my friend. Religion looks to self. not God...
