Once saved, always saved is a myth.

I think this issue is distinguishing between the gospel that saves, and the word of God that grows.. People get confused when they try to mix the two

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

If I must continue to the end, How am I eternally secure? That does not make sense
  4. Eternally Grateful

People are not getting lazy because of OSAS They are lazy because they do not trust God. they never did. Don;t blame sin on Gods promise and his assurance.. Thats what the people of Jude did. by turning the grace of God to licentiousness. A sin just as bad as legalism.

  7. Eternally Grateful

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

If we are working for rewards in heaven,, then we are doing just that. Our salvation is not dependent on it at all. We are saved because we trusted God with our eternity. CHristian growth is learning to trust God in other areas of our life.. and that brings for works and fruit But if you say...

So what if we do not continue in him in all things do we lose our salvation, or are we still saved even as through fire?
  9. Eternally Grateful

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

when a person says that you can lose salvation. That you are initially saved, but then must continue in your works. if you want to be saved. Or that salvation is not secure. they teach a works based salvation. its a big difference in saying we work BECAUSE we are saved, then to say we work in...

sorry Bud God requires perfection.. If you keep the whole law yet stumble in one point, Your guilty You do not even have to do it on purpose.. Just trip and fall. and your guilty. But Jesus took that curse from you. by dying the death you deserve. Do we really want to spit on the cross and...

lol So you can not earn salvation, but you can unearn it? I press towards the prize too.. Because I do not want to be left with wood hay and stubble But salvation is a gift. it is not a reward..

  13. Eternally Grateful

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

It gets no more clear than this. Paul also spoke up. Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. it is interesting, if you look at the language, Draw back literally means to be hesitant, to be timid, let down, This is...

I agree,, But there is always hope. Plus I speak for others who may come in and see it. so they can see.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

False assurance is the assurance that we may not be saved in the end, that we do not really have eternal life. But we have to earn it John wrote to keep us from this thinking 1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you...

Yes, Sanctification. But your justification is not based on how sanctified you become, it depends on how righteous Jesus was and the cross..
  17. Eternally Grateful

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

You still do not get it THESE PEOPLE NEVER MADE THE DECISION. They got close. maybe even walked with people in the church. But they never made the decision. In the end, they will spend eternity saying they was this close and walked away.. It will be worse for them.. also remember, those...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

See. You refuse to admit you are trying to earn your salvation. ps. Work out YOUR SALVATION, ie, take the salvation you have and all that comes with it AND WORK IT OUT> Thats a bit different than to say work to earn your salvation.
  19. Eternally Grateful

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Yes,, but those people never came to christ.. They never made the decision.. Why do you refuse to acknowledge your trying to earn your salvation?
