@Truman Ron Coates May God richly bless you this time as you walk through these threads and posts. Remember Elijah who ran away fearing for his life against the threat of Jezebel. The man, that great prophet of God thought himself all alone... and God told him clearly: "Yet I have left me seven...

@My Dreams Also praying that God will help you in this!

In the beginning of our course as a man, a tiny infant born to its natural mother, there is a Light: "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." John 1:9 This is Not speaking of a person born again. It is rather what we see that draws us [the Father draws us]...

"Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous." Psalm 112:4

Good to see you posting on here today, Helen!

Aye, we are in agreement generally but there is also what I said about the Word of God.

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you will enrich us and we will also help as we all strive to approach God more closely!

Give God the glory my friend. What I noticed a long time ago was another one of those paradox/contradiction types because Rahab told an untruth, [a lie?] in order to save the two spies. Because of her lie, she saved them and was saved herself... yet in the NT Paul and John write strongly against...

A great many years ago I drank a whole lot of Coke, but it has been many years now that I quit drinking any kind of carbonated beverage on the regular basis. We, my wife and I, used to buy it by the case and always have it in the refrigerator. Never again...

Thank you! Give God the glory!

Is the old man dead? Who is still in the world? "And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are." John 17:11

Too long or...? In any case...Give God the glory!

The Spirit versus the flesh. God versus mammon. "Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table." Prov 9:1-2 The overcoming is progressing. The beasts are first cleansed and finally...

@My Dreams Joining here in prayer for you my brother in Christ!

I have discussed this issue with many people numerous times over the years. I could, if if were inclined argue for the other side, [your side] using scriptures as well but that would be dishonest on my part because of where my faith is... where I am with God. The Bible can be used to support any...

Do you really believe that any external physical problem we may encounter is going to remove any of us who sincerely love God out of His reach?

I really don't know about such things. He was a doctor who had done his schooling in the Netherlands and then moved to the USA. We simply in our ignorance followed his suggestion. My son was born in 1973.

What I did my friend is simplified it as you requested by putting it my own words instead of using scriptures. I can support my beliefs step by step with scripture as I am sure you can as well. Arguing the point by citing scriptures won't change our positions. You doubt my faith and accuse me of...

What I believe is simple enough. We cannot make it alone, but we must run the whole course reaching the end on the Lord's side. This is only possible by the power of God in us. Continuous surrender to God will get us there with Him. Continuous surrender to God is only possible by asking Him to...

Apology not needed. Take care and God bless you!
