Everyone needs to have the proper foundation and then allow God to build on that foundation. If the foundation is our own rather than the solid foundation provided in/with/through Jesus then what good will the choice of seemingly even the best of building materials of gold and silver do for us...

Give God the glory!

@Ron Coates Joining in prayer here!

@Nancy Praying Addison and Emerson and their parents as the time of arrival in the light approaches. Our grandson's wife had our 2nd great-grandchild, a girl on 09-24-2020, by C-section. Mother and baby are home and doing very well indeed. Give God the glory! We've only seen her [Oakley...

Indeed in His creation of man, God limited Himself by giving men the choice to go their own way or God's Way. God created in men the ability to disobey Him. This is how God created evil. It was an indirect creation as I see it for until man walked that way, his own way, instead of the Way to...

I hear what you have said, but cannot agree with your conclusions. I won't argue the point nor try to combat scripture with scripture. I will simply strive to follow where God leads. May God bless you as you seek His face.

I am really sorry that you believe as you do about me. I could give you more verses of scripture from both the OT and the NT to clarify my understanding, but since have decided in accord to what the CC teaches, it would be like wheels spinning without traction. Only God gives any increase...

@justbyfaith While I also see a difference between the two things in scripture I do not believe that in this case changing my statement to read "recognize a perfect person" instead of "recognize a sinless person" would ultimately make a difference in my point. Jesus was able to see a person's...

I don't believe that is what I was saying. Again as before we don't always communicate: How much does a new born in Christ know about the things of God? How does God render judgement? Do you suppose He gives us all a theology test and gives us a final grade? What does Jesus tell us here...

God and God's Way is not relative but absolute. Men, on the other hand, are in and of different positions even those who are walking with or striving to walk with God. Some are new born babes, still on milk. Others may be in the process of being weaned from milk to move onto the on the meat...

"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a...

Soon when only a handful who do not openly criticize or disagree with you remain, how alone or right will you be? "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov 21:2 What if God wanted to speak to you through one of those on ignore? Checking on them...

@Fullness of the Gentiles Welcome to the forum!

Let us pray now for President Trump and his wife in their time of illness and stress. Our God is always able!

@Debp Praying for your friend, Sam!

So then all of the unbelievers we have ever known or even have ever been have never been good? I understand that men have their own definitions of "good", but certainly at times even unbelievers have been good in their ways as God sees good. Perhaps it is that little glimmer of good in every...

Unless we had perfect discernment ourselves with regard to the heart of everyone else, how could we recognize a sinless person when we met one? Consider what Jesus saw in Nathaniel: "Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!" John 1:47...

What you are saying in effect is that the 'old man' of you is not yet completely dead and that sometimes you surrender to him instead of surrendering to God. You speak of willful sins, but the Holy Spirit leading us does not go that way. As Paul speaks of the old man and the new man, James...

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Prov 22:6
