What is the sword of Gideon? "And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the...

Everyone is eating something spiritually, but are they not few who are eating daily the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus? "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my...

"And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not...

You bring then the question, What is a man? To carnal man he is often a highly self-exalted creature. To God he is an uncouth beast not worthy to be among the unclean beasts saved in the ark built by Noah. But... God sees the possibilities and the final results in those few who would and will...

"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Matt 15:8-9

All of us were dead to God before we met and received Life from Jesus. A marriage established between two dead people is dead in the eyes of God and neither one is bound by the contract... unless where only one of the two meets Jesus, he/she is convicted to hold to it. When we meet the Master...

Men [including women] began disobeying God with that first couple, Adam and Eve. It did not stop there. Perhaps a good example of how far from God things had gone is seen in King David, who did have several wives but was still called a man after God's heart and the apple of God's eye...

In the NT [New Testament] we get perhaps closer without so many types and shadows to what God really wants from us, be we physical men or women. As Jesus, I believe, made clear, a man [or woman] may commit adultery in his heart even if physically he never touches anyone but his spouse. The...

@TLHKAJ "Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour." Jerem 12:9

I appreciate your input, but my belief that God inspired some man/men to write things down is not in jeopardy because I cannot say definitely which man/men wrote it all down or even whether it was really Samuel or some imposter that appeared. Similarly some may see a problem with Moses writing...
