Some has responded with positive affirmation of God's healing powers. The reading of the Bible has it own power...of course that comes from God. If we can be there for somebody of course we should be happy to do that.

I am certainly praying all healings and recovery. Let God watch over them and get special attention to the healing powers. And to the the family too.

For the most part I agree with you. There is certainly not a "focus on the family" in the New Testament. The focus was on salvation...the urgency preempted all other concerns because they believed Christ's return was imminent.
