Probably most of the people you meet who are regulars in their churches fail to see what is wrong on their home front. What was happening even in Nazareth? "But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he...

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 In my own experience, and from what I have seen or read about in others, "churches" ... that is in the people forming church groups...

@historyb Praying for you now!

My mistake in a typo I left out the negative word. I have corrected it

"And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them." Luke 17:23

But the people? "For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But...

@My Dreams Praying for you Dad now!

Thought out, no! This one that God gave to me. This is not always the case with my posts, but sometimes God leaves no doubt in that it so. Give God the glory!

I cannot speak for Nancy, but for me it was after I was disconnected from Catholicism that I really met the Master! While I enjoyed my time as a Catholic because of people I could never grow closer to God. It was after the disconnect that the growth for me began.

The key I believe is that the Word is Living. A translation would be inspired, if the translator were inspired by God to write it or speak it, or...? I used to translate a lot of documents over the years while working for Social Security, but at the moment I cannot recall one which I did as God...
