    Christianity as a Closed System

People use science as capital-S, a new age idol. I use science in the generic sense of study and observe. No denomination has exclusive access to Christ - even though some make that claim. For instance, last year there were 2 miracles at my church, which is non-denominational.

    Christianity as a Closed System

Yes, there is such a thing as healthy boundaries. Christ, himself, often left to pray in solitude. The goal is for us to attract those in the dark. When we start being tempted by the dark, we are ‘too open.’ Also, guard yourself against pride. Evil and sin is not to be trifled with...

    Christianity as a Closed System

Totally relate, being raised RCC. Everyone outside the authority of Rome - Peter’s successors - was under the influence of Satan. Being the scientist, I saw evidence to the contrary.

    Christianity as a Closed System

Wrong dichotomy. It’s not that Christianity is closed; it’s that Christianity is exclusive. And this naturally offends those indoctrinated with false equality and false inclusiveness.

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Faith, hope and charity? The words are faith hope and love (not charity). In addition, the chapter continues by explicitly stating the greatest of these is love. Yet, you are so blind as to deny love is even in the love chapter. This is precisely the kind of intellectual dishonesty and...

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

I think your basic problem is misusing the document, to begin with. Why don’t you identify what is literal and allegorical via green and blue letters? I never heard a Christian even talk about doing what you claim to be waiting for. It’s just another standard atheists invent to deem failure.

Really? That’s a false comparison as you are pretending a scientific hypothesis was actually held by the masses.

Agreed. However, you are violating Occam’s Razor in being open to our origins tied to aliens in a different universe rather than the revealed Creator.

Well, clearly you are hostile to Christianity and extrapolating from the foundation of logical inquiry of the available evidence. My question is binary. Does a book prove the existence of a book writer? Yes or No.

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

LOL. You are the one who is not only using false logic but word games. Does A = A or not? Does everything include everything or not? If everything is natural then Darth Vader, Santa Claus, God, Easter Bunny, and Rumble Stillskin all exist and are natural. Many atheists are like you, supposing...

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Except for the revelations God revealed and the billions who testify to his existence over the 1,000’s of years. As I pointed out to @Romanov2488, your basic problem is that you have an argument while others have experience.

You clearly hope to define your way. The question of the objective evidence of a writer existing in the presence of happening on a book in the woods.

Obtuse. What is the first paragraph of the chapter? Honestly, not sure what word games you are playing.

It’s not false logic at all. It is you who use the word everything to mean NOT everything.

Well, that's my point about most people. They can't do that. I remember telling a friend in high school that I was so tired I "passed out." He refused to take the term figuratively, no matter how many times I told him it was a figure of speech.

    Reasons Jews Reject Jesus

See post #3. The starting point of the discussion is that the Jews don't believe. You need to get to the next level of detail. Address the reasons why they don't believe. Can you do that?
