But Whom Say Ye That I am?

I thought we weren't supposed to talk about this anymore. Did I miss a rule change?

Was wine non-alcoholic in Jesus's time?

I'm not as knowledgable about bread as I am about wine. As far as I know, bread normally contains yeast. Again, by definition, normally or usually allows for instances where it lacks this attribute. This is why, when yeast is to be excluded in the Bible, it explicitly calls one to make...

Was wine non-alcoholic in Jesus's time?

There is only one type of wine and that is fermented. To claim otherwise is to play word games, to call things by their improper names. Grape juice is not wine.

    Who are the 144,000?

Since 12 has nothing to do with the OP, there is no real difference. I only invoked 'the 12' as a comparison of a number referring to numerous 12s. Having said that, the OP exclusively refers to the text of Revelation. How in the world do you support the idea that text in another book...

    Who are the 144,000?

Of course. Still, I only see claims it is evident as opposed to an actual citation of the evidence.

    Who are the 144,000?

You guys are killing me. Revelation 21:12 Contemporary English Version 12 The city had a high and thick wall with twelve gates, and each one of them was guarded by an angel. On each of the gates was written the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.

    Who are the 144,000?

Yes. This is called education. Understand the facts. Understand the arguments FOR and AGAINST a proposition BEFORE forming an opinion.

    Who are the 144,000?

Possibilities are not meaningful beyond they exist. And it is not what is meaningful to me but the speaker/author. If it were evident, you’d be able to produce the evidence. While others are fond of reading all kinds of things into text, I tend to refrain.

What is your best argument for the existence of God?

The best place to begin with scientists is their native language of mathematics. One of the most amazing thing about God's Creation is that it is knowable. How do they explain how perfectly mathematics explains and predicts the observable universe? The Periodic Table of Elements. Gravity. Speed...

    Who are the 144,000?

Not sure what is confusing. Try using your words. It is implied in the OP via the use of the definite article 'the.' So, I figured the first level of analysis is to determine whether or not this number refers to the same group. It is such a basic question, it left marks speechless. :jest...

    Who are the 144,000?

I’m not looking to argue. Just trying to get the facts.

    Who are the 144,000?

First, what is the argument the 3 verses are referencing the same group?

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

Unconscious. The purpose of consciousness is not merely to integrate reality but to also differentiate reality. Not one is not one with one. Antonyms are not synonyms. Light is not one with dark. Right is not one with left or wrong. Good is not one with evil. Dead is not one with the...

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

You must be a mystic, denying the evidence right before your eyes. Sad way to attempt to evade the question of what do you live and stand for.

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

No. Desperate reach for what is not true. My source compared the religious to atheists. Yours compared a subset of religious - those who believe in an eternal fiery hell. See the difference?
