"All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not." I Cor 10:23

There are a lot of mixed messages being presented as truth in places. What a person needs when he hears such a mixed message is the means to separate the lies from the truth... that is... to hear only the truth. This would be where the Holy Spirit in the person should come into play. Any...

@FollowHim @bbyrd009 Did not Paul put a restriction on those who would follow him here? "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." I Cor 11:1 When we look at the ways of Paul and he does not appear as Christ appeared, then according to his own words we should not follow him.

Aye... and give God the glory!

@My Dreams Praying that God will help you with your business!

Perhaps this reference to John the Baptist? "And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." Luke 1:17

We can pray for them. See something now in reverse! When our two children were teenagers, just about finished with high school, it was mom and dad who drifted away from God. Son and daughter were fully involved in serving God praying, reading their Bibles, attending church services and special...

People, and this certainly or especially includes 'Christians', do not realize that as the positioned ministers are responsible for advising and teaching, so are parents responsible for advising and teaching. We will make mistakes and God understands that, but we must try to do things the best...

I was not suggesting that anyone go back and try to follow the prescribed laws God gave to Moses. Those people for the most part had to go through or after someone like Moses. They did not have the Holy Ghost within themselves to Light their pathway. For them Moses or Joshua were the ones to...

Not directly killed but still not an easy decision for person to make. Unfortunately we often cause ourselves to be in such a situation... or worse, we cause our children through no direct fault of their own to be in such situations. In a time when most women were very dependent on men to...

Not precisely the same situation but certainly a similarly difficult one is seen here for the Jews returning out of captivity with forbidden wives and the children born of such forbidden marriages: "Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are...

"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matt 26:39

"Wisdom... She hath killed her beasts;" Prov 9:1-2

The truly born again have eyes to see, but they often do not see everything and what they do see is not always clear. Their vision should be improving as they walk along with Jesus. Of course, every time they quench the Holy Spirit in themselves, they hinder the work of the Spirit. Too much of...

Consider that the two men [out of 600,000] specifically mentioned by name as being able to enter the Promised Land did not get to bypass the 40 years in the wilderness along with all those rebels! Joshua and Caleb also suffered physically with the others but the primary difference or advantage...

So then that being "man's way/system" where and how can one see the contrast in God's? "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times...

And what price should we willing to pay for the 'pearl of great price'? "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." Matt 13:45-46 Is not 'reasonable service' a...

Good to see you back! With my wife's disability being what it has been for many years, neither of us went out very much before the Corona virus. We miss the occasional dinner at a restaurant and the coffee get togethers at our apartment complex for oldsters like us... but other than and the...
