OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION

This man is of the latter, "giving heed to ... commandments of men, who turn themselves away from the truth." Thanks you.

OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION

You missed the point. That is God unto men, not brother unto brother. There is a correct way to rebuke a brother, but this man is worse than a lawyer.

The race is not to the swift,

No, you can't use an analogy that places God in His own creation in the way that you have. Yes, a man is in his work, an musician is in his music, etc. but only in spirit, only as an extension of himself - but it is not him. At best, all the world, including time, is...a "dim" "image" of what...

    In their Christmas sermons …

You made an 8 to 1 bias...8 years to 1. Not only do you judge unfairly, but with prejudice...8 to 1. OMG you don't know the difference between the duties of government, and the duties of families and communities. As for Isaiah 1...you are mixing that up incorrectly too. Hello...that was to...

Abraham was not saved by faith alone

No, this is me telling you, reminding you...of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the great commission of telling the world the good news - not adding "works" as you put it, to that simple commandment. Your reference to Acts 2:36-40 was off the mark. He was not speaking of the great commission, nor...

OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION

That is because you sit in the temple as if you were God. Because men do not catch other men. If you were of God, you would also show mercy and love.

The race is not to the swift,

All die. Job's wife and children's deaths are not punishment for or because of him, but for original sin, where it is appoint once for all to die. We all also have plenty to confess, even if God does not account certain things against us...which is the case with Job. It is good to confess in...

Hmm... a proclamation of being a regular angel of light. Wow...you had us all fooled!

Really worth a look vatican again

I didn't watch the piece. But I do know there is a difference between being suspicious and being lead to believe. That's the thing about secrecy. It may be wrong and unhealthy to conspire or brood, but it is not at all wrong to be inquisitive or to be prudent and foresee evil. But, it is true...

Abraham was not saved by faith alone

You are right to make that a question...because you have not answered it well yourself, and yet you preach based on what you have misunderstood. In Acts 2:36-40 Peter gave directions to those who did not perceive that Jesus was the Messiah, who gave false witness, and had Him crucified. In...

Abraham was not saved by faith alone

Those are true statements. But your op adds to it, and I called you on it. You went on to say that unlike the thief, people must also get up and do something more like Abram did...which is good of Abram for our sake, but not necessary for all.

The race is not to the swift,

God dealt with Job by what was in his heart, which was the result of pain and sorrow. The punishment was not punishment, but allowed within the bounds of death, which is the fate of all. Nonetheless, God also blessed him greatly.

The race is not to the swift,

All is well. Thanks for explaining, and your comments. I actually have two daughters, one by blood, one by marriage, which makes me all the more blessed. A beer sounds good :)

Pope wants to change the Lord's Prayer

And that is where he misspoke, for it is written: Genesis 2:15-17 15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good...

Why did God need to give us free will, or did He need to? Do we really have it?

According to God's word there will be no night, but everlasting day, no shadow of turning. But I would not consider it static, and would not discount the idea of image, for Christ was the image of God the Father and became glorious even in the sight of men.

Have you ever been challenged to, say, call for a healing?

Both are true: John 11:41-44 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that...

    In their Christmas sermons …

You are bias because you don't have the facts but are comparing two presidents, one with 8 years, and the other with only 1 year. I didn't say that. But being in need does not justify entitlements. Giving, "each according to his ability" is not the job of the state. I want to be free, free from...

Abraham was not saved by faith alone

Well...not that exact definition. But rather that the op was like a shooting star out of left field not to be believed, a weak explanation and point...that happens to be wrong, and therefore reckless, i.e. reader beware.

Abraham was not saved by faith alone

You barely made your point clear...and it is wrong. The thief on the cross is proof of that.
