A very heartfelt song. The yearning is top notch. Few songs illicite such longing as this. I say it again. They don't make songs like they used to. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. ;)

Here is a contradiction that I have argued with people for years. It is incorrect to say opinions count for nothing even though that is what we hear all the time. And the only kind of opinion is personal. Therefore, what differentiates opinions is what they are based on, e.g., the set of...

Not at all. That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer.

I recall some months ago, you mentioned various myths in Christendom. I think this thread would be a great place for you to enumerate that. Regarding 2 God furthest apart, I think the notion of a God who allows or causes eternal suffering tops the list.

Ron, you are being indoctrinated, the unwitting victim of propaganda.

Understood. It's just that in this case, the OP is asking what is the Bible and Amadeus, notorious for throwing the curve balls, did with his <preposition> LH or RH of God. So, I was hoping he'd connect the dots. I think the best characteristic of the Bible is that Hebrews 4:12, the word of...

Really? The Black Death did not see global population declines? The Ice Age did not see a decline? Ever hear of the 7 Daughters of Eve? The most severe outbreak of plague, in the Chinese province of Hubei in 1334, claimed up to 80% of the population. massive population crash during ice age

Yes, what is usual is not what was asked. Didn't you post a vid in another thread about worrying about yourself? My question was directed at Amadeus.

Let him? That implies other nations have authority over a sovereign country. Sovereign. Look it up.

Now you're changing the subject. Stay with me now. Are you talking about apples (seeing with one's eyes) or oranges (dreams or visions)? When you say oranges but mean apples - or vice versa - it gets confusing. Thanks.

25-paragraphs?! Are you related to Aunty Jane? You’d make even her envious. And you don’t have the basics correct. We only have physical eyes. Numerous times you’ve written AS IF we have any other kind.

He said God. I Believe you are quoting his son. Also, I got the sense @amadeus was talking about sitting shoulder to shoulder, not facing God.

Can you give an example of reference to the Left hand of God? What difference does it make?

Jealousy v Envy This was a pet peeve of a former co-worker. Both are subsets of covetting but in different ways. Envy is wanting what someone else has, e.g., my neighbor got a new boat. Jealousy is afraid of losing what you have to someone else, e.g., my wife's attention. Often people say...

To that, I'd add: 3) Modesty Modesty is not only what is commonly thought of but it includes not sexually flaunting yourself.

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 You don't see a component of effort for an individual there? On top of this, Jesus said to ask, seek and knock...

Only in the sense that God gave us everything is this true. Getting down to the next level of detail, it was a political process among formerly persecuted 4th century men who gave us the Bible. I'm reminded of the lyrics to a song, 'what to leave in? what to leave out?' It is a dilemma. The...

Yea, Ukraine could not stand up to the American bully. VP Biden threatens to withold 1 billion in aid if ukranian attorney general is not fired

Oh goed. Thouest showest to be better than thee nightmare. Still, I knew there had to be an 'eth' in there somewhere. :Laughingoutloud:

Totally deserves its own thread. I've had a few experiences with angels and wonder how many others have.
