I believe that we are probably in the "Beginning of the End"...I don't believe that we are at the End of the End yet. We could well be in the beginning of the great tribulation...with the rise of those who are beheading, raping and killing often now...it has started, but I cannot see the...

I put that down to the Elephant concept. < an elephant is a funny long thing with a hole in the middle.> ( trunk) < no, and elephant is a big thing like a tree> ( leg) <no an elephant is a long scruffy skinny thing > (tail) Only the person standing back and viewing the whole picture...

Oh I just mean the human factor. Man's error while translating. Like it or not we all filter everything through our belief system. I find it hard to believe that all those translators did not also filter what they believed through what they were translating. Then we have the archaic words...

Like many here I am sure...we have all had times back over the decades when we thought " this is it!". But, here we are still here. Back in the 60's a dear old man in one church said the Lord had told him that he would not die before the return of the Lord. Sweet old man and loved the...

Hi Pia...thanks for that post. Yes that helps me to it in a better perspective. For some stupid reason I just couldn't wrap my head around it today :D It always seems to get scrambled a bit when we try to make things of the OT dealings with God's people, fit into our NT belief system of the...

Very nicely laid out post. I find nothing there that I can greatly disagree with :) As I mentioned much earlier...my main beef is with some people who seem to have a greater 'relationship' with their bibles than they do with God Himself. They can trot out verses to back their...

"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:.... And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to...

.....and all the rest of it... I like that...and now that you say it, it seems obvious...I got sidetracked. I have always liked the verse that Moses says.." If Thy presence goes not with us, take us not up thence." Bringing it right back to relationship again.

Wow, Peanut, you obviously don't like anyone disagreeing with you!! Breath deeply...it's good for you. Please don't keep telling me what I don't understand about the scriptures. It changes nothing. ...you are entitled to your opinion...because that is what it is...I don't have to agree...

Sorry...you are talking out of the top of your head. You have no idea what you are talking about...you are just parroting something that you read or heard somewhere.... Just like the many over the years who have put their pets down, sold their houses..gathered together and waited for the...

To Peanut. PS, The more you write in trying to persuade us differently ( even writing it larger,) still does not give any extra weight to your argument. Saying it every which way from Sunday does not strengthen your argument either. "A man convinced against his will , is of the same persuasion...

Sorry....we will just have to disagree on this. I am perfectly aware of what a parable is...and Matt 5 is no such animal. But, as I say , we will just have agree to differ on this one.

So, in light of that, could God have blotted Moses name out. We know that Moses hit the rock in anger, rather than speak to it to bring forth water. But, this above was a different timeframe. God did not speak of removing his name because of anger. So, what sin is God referring to...

Thanks...I think that I understand that. Especially about the grace of God leaving it in....until our final breath. I know that I still have not got the full grasp of it, something that fully satisfies my soul , where I can smile and say- " Yes, THAT is what I believe." Bottom line, I...

Thanks. I know, I totally get that. Is everyone IN , and when a person sins it gets blocked out? Or do people get 'saved' and get put in then, but get blotted out when we sin? 1 John 1 8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess...

By the way...KBCid...I haven't posted much in this thread...but I always read it daily. I am still waiting for you to give us the answer to the OP...so I read this because I don't want to miss the answer. :D

I totally agree with you. After reading it for 50yrs I am so soaked in it, if I read any of my other translations...by brain just flips it over back into the AKJV...so I "read" the AKJV even if I have a different translation in my hand. :D :)

Maybe this should be another thread...I don't know. But somehow I find some of the posts a bit confusing. So, when we a tiny babies is our name IN The Book? It has to be in, or it can't be "blotted out!!" If it gets blotted out because of sin..."Then let he who has no sin throw the first...

We are all entitled to our own opinion....but that is all it is " your-opinion".. None of us can put words in God's mouth...He did not say that. The left-behind teaching is nothing more than panic fear mongering... there is no peace in that. So, believe what you like, and I will do...

Welcome to the forum...that said.....but why don't you "take a breath"...and join in some of the existing threads and get to know the people, instead of just starting one new thread after the other, and showing no interest in what others have to say!! So...slow down a bit , take a breath...
