Hi, Been busy, Can't remember if I answered this. Can't do any better than @BobRyan on post no.666.

I believe we're derailing this thread since it's not about Adam and Eve. There was a first man. There was a first woman. A first sin. The creation. The fall. Of this I'm sure.

Serpents don't talk. The serpent represented evil...we don't know what caused Eve to take the first bite.

Only God can read minds. Only God knows the future.

Hi H2S How could you believe God created evil? If God is all good, where is there room for evil? ALL means all. John said Good IS love. 1 John 4:8

Only God can create. @Enoch111 should have used the word "cause chaos" instead of create chaos.

Hi Aspen! Good to see you back. I was thinking about you. Just hoping nothing bad happened. We're keeping you in prayer. God bless you and give you the strength we need to live this present life till we're with Him.

What do you mean bb? The news maybe biased...I don't know, I'm not there anymore and I know Christianity has always been persecuted...but it's still true! This is not fake news. I believe this is ONE of the reasons Benedict resigned and I do believe Francis has many problems, and he DOES want...

The Father's commandments are the 10 commandments...and so are Jesus'. He spoke of the commandments when the rich young man asked Jesus what he must do to obtain eternal life. Jesus answered that if he wanted to enter into LIFE, he must keep the commandments. Mathew 19:16-21 My personal...

Amen...agreed. I'd like to hear how some believe there are TWO sets of commandments. I've never heard this before.

You're such a nice person Nancy... And very smart...

It's wonderful that we can know that today is the day of our salvation. We have free will and can know that if we desire to stay with Christ, we will be saved forever. But we must walk with Him and toward Him and not change direction. Some make it sound like we could change our direction and...

Let me say this: If you agree with me that we should not sin and that we should obey God, WHY are you arguing this point with me? Those who do not know God and are not saved have no need to obey Him. Those of us who are saved MUST obey Him... our salvation depends on our obedience. Did...

Actually, persons of faith were always saved; but Jesus did redeeem them. He bought them back from satan since satan won the battle in the Garden of Eden. Death came to man, but Jesus conquered death through the resurrection and so we will also be resurrected in a glorious body. So how does...

I just read it and had read it already when you posted it. You don't care to discuss this....OK. But how about changing your wording so that it doesn't SOUND like you're saying it's OK to sin. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil... I'd say in action and in word.

This is very interesting. Will do a small study on it...

I can't argue this...we'd need some kind of stats and I hate to be like Barb..remember Barbarian? He always wanted stats. To me most people in prison LOOK like they belong there...but never judge a book by its cover. I can think, however, of some serial killers that LOOKed very normal indeed.

I have to agree with you. Don't understand the reason for the huge problem... It's also here in Italy. It's all over. Maybe there are more catholic ministers involved because the church is bigger? I don't know...anyway what kind of excuse would that be? Priests are held to such a high esteem...

There we go again! It's ALL ABOUT obedience to the law. Do you believe it's a good idea to proclaim that it's not about obedience to the law? Galatians 5 speaks about the spirit and the flesh. We are no longer under a yoke of SLAVERY.....Jesus died to free us from the slavery to our sinful...

Yes. And I'm sure this gets new Christians very confused and is not helpful to their walk with God. James 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. NASB The Barean Study Bible says: James 1:21-22 Hearing and Doing …21Therefore, get rid of all...
