I would word the subject line differently. Jesus did not come to tame the flesh. He came to crucify it. I believe Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit so that we can crucify the flesh. He doesn't 'do it' for us, He did it before us..and showed us the way. He now empowers us to follow in His steps and...

Agree. Most of the problem for an answer is 'us' the people! I have so many ( irritating) friends who keep on talking about 'moderate muslims' ... so 'we' do not all agree with what the message of Islam really is! Therefore we are divided, division =weakness....so 'we' are our own worst...

Quote Stranger:- I agree with your last statement. (FHII )Which brings me to the question, why is God counting this way? Stranger The only possible answer can be...because He is God, and He can!! ;) He Himself said:- "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith...

I was answering your opening post which says:- "Just why does the accuser accuse? What for, what is to be gained on the accuser’s part? Especially in the Presence of God." I don't understand your question re 'man accusing'. If it is an invalid accusation it is of no consequence at all.

Amen...May God comfort them at this time. This is becoming more of a regular occurrence...✟ Let us pray for them, and also for EVERY country which is going through the same now, yet without it being made as "important" as London , Paris etc. God help our lands, our homes and children...God...

Job said- "In order for this to please God, one would have to keep all the other commandments also. Just saying..." ==== I totally agree...that puts us back under the law of sin and death...yet Romans tells us that " The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law...

Deborah said:- What masquerades as a desire for miraculous healing may in fact be an unwillingness to accept suffering as a legitimate part of the Christian journey. Hmm , should we be 'willing to accept'?? Suffering will indeed come..but it will not come via God's hand , but via the Enemy...

The Accuser accuses because it is his job. He is good at his job. He started in The Garden when to Eve he accused God of holding out on her ( of good and evil) in not giving her full knowledge. He didn't just wander in by accident when God was called an assembly to speak about Job.. God...

I would say the "when" is after the Angel has declared ' Time no longer' ..when all else has been fulfilled ..then.. Revelation 19:6-9 6 "And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord...

You are just arguing the same point with yourself.....but like the old bard said..( of a she) "Me thinks thou does protest too much.." You just go in circles. We are happy...7 generations. Adam (generation 1) is created. Adam and Eve receive a son, Seth (generation 2) ( Cain was of the...

I'll buy it! You are probably asking a question that you already know the answer to! Ha! As we were all in the first creation "the Adam man" ...the only other man is the perfect man, Adam/Christ. On new birth we all moved out of the old first Adam into the Last Man, Christ. We were "in...

Good word. Thanks.

Excellent post....and well laid out. perrero said :- "*NOW THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND* That prayer language, those tongues that I pray in my PRAYER CLOSET, which can also be in my car as I drive down the road because God and I have a thing going in my car, is NOT the same gift of...

This is an older thread ...but it really blessed me tonight...AMEN...good word. :)

I can as they say, I hear what you are saying , in the OP. I have heard it before. I don't believe it is something that divides the church...but, when I became born again, converted, got saved , or what term one uses...I was standing outside staring up at the beautiful full moon...and my "...

Wow, strong words!!! .....how you 'interpret' the scriptures is totally up to you , obviously. But to tell people that you are SURE that God spoke it, is pretty scary. By that you are saying that your 'hearing' and interpretation are 100% correct!! That sounds pretty arrogant to me. ALL of us...

Oh lovely...thank you both very much, sounds good. I will check both options out. :) Blessings...H

We are all free to believe what we like...but it doesn't make it any more 'right'. When I first met my husband, I was 'caught up' in rapture..( for a few months ha! then came down to earth) but I didn't 'go' anywhere! Paul himself says ..he was caught up into the third heaven.. " I knew a man...

Sword...thanks for the Dan Mohler info..I will indeed look him up. :) Have you managed to share much with people ( sick or disabled strangers) one to one? My husband does all the time..he is often walking up to strangers in the Mall's and asking if he can pray. He only one time ever...

As I read the OT I see they were saved "by faith" in God, who He was and what He spoke to them. Hebrews 11..the hero's of faith list. We know that believers were saved by faith, just as we are, with the difference that their faith was in a Saviour who was yet to come whereas ours in in the...
