@Jennifer Augustine Welcome to the forum!

@My Dreams Praying that God accomplish His purpose in this thing and we stand where He wants us to stand!

Indeed, we do not live for God according to knowledge even though we may have some little bit of it, but even on that little bit someone want to argue the point... "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." Rom 1:17

Indeed, let us all sincerely pray for our secular leaders, including President Trump!

The Bible

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matt 18:20

@Nancy People can and do study the fruits presented in the verses you cited and elsewhere and draw conclusions, but that can be simply a classroom experience. The study and classroom experience serve their purpose in preparing a person, but the application is where the real significance is...

While I believe we should always follow the lead of the Holy Spirit, that lead is not an arbitrary thing. If God wants people to physically meet together in direct opposition to civil law or recommendation, each of us should know that... not simply blindly follow a leader. That is, we should be...

God's promises are sure. Some people are disappointed probably in God because they misunderstood or they asked, but amiss. Jesus said that we should ask in order to receive [Matt 7:7] but James [4:3] clarifies that if we ask amiss, we won't receive. If we get into God's will and do any asking...

God accomplishes all of His purposes, even His curses. Some people who seemed innocent in scripture [e.g. Joshua & Caleb who spent 40 long years in the wilderness even though they did not doubt God] suffered greatly. This does not mean that God purposely created the virus, however, He uses that...

If a person does have the Holy Spirit but regularly quenches that Spirit in himself, would not that also quench growth? I see in many churches where I have visited and where I have been a member that quenching the Holy Spirit in services is often a routine practice. Some people who have had a...

@My Dreams Also joining in prayer here!

A difference in words rather the difference in whether we are submitted to some other spirit or the Holy Spirit? If my own final end is dependent on what I have memorized rather than the Spirit to which I have submitted myself, I am in trouble indeed. Is God going to check our brains or hearts...

The video was very good. Unfortunately, it is likely that few will watch it and even of those who do many will do what they do so often here on this forum... attack what they consider their opposition... instead of striving to do what Jesus walking as a man 2000 years ago was doing. He loved...

Indeed, especially the any where the carnal socializing aspect has really become more important than moving closer to God.

The "whole and pure" and Living Word of God is that which comes out of His mouth. "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matt 4:4 Without the lead of the Holy Spirit who can speak or hear the...

@My Dreams Praying that God will lead you to where He wants you to be!

Well you go ahead and do what you believe you are led to do. If God is in it, who can stop it?

I have not been very active for several days, but even when I am here daily I never read every post and I skip many threads altogether as I simply don't have the time or the patience. Some topics and some people I purposely avoid. One step at a time!

Enjoy your lunch and... Give God the glory!
