David is the realistic possibility for any of us mere men of flesh to look upon. We look to Jesus, the perfect example. However, because of our history and because even now after having come to know Him, we still find ourselves stumbling, and in down times almost losing hope. Yes, with all we...

@Angelina Praying for Em!

In spite our other differences I thought I saw this in you. Some people need to be reminded about it. Newer people may need to be told about it so that somehow the love in them for God will grow continuously for so long as they have time.

Relating to what you have already posted there is this. There is is as I believe it the Right hand as well as the Left hand of God. Jesus related this to sheep and goats here: "And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his...

In spite of their experiences they did not know God and they were afraid of Him... as in really afraid. Perhaps they were afraid He would get after them for their own shortcomings, which were many. After all the miraculous things they had witnessed they were only overwhelmed and for the most...

I am not sure what that means. Do you mean if they might get me in sooner? That won't happen. The oral surgeon only comes to town once a month. The day I went for an evaluation he saw me for a few minute and said although he was backed up he could have done my procedure that day if I were...

Remember that His voice is His Word. It does accomplish His purpose. It trims off the dead wood leaving the Living to flourish and bear fruit. It also kills the tree that is not producing any fruit. It also keeps the Way to the Tree of Life so that not just anyone can live forever. It also...

Very, very good, Helen! Perhaps the times on those old forums, especially the ones @Mike Waters started and led. He perhaps does not realize what a very good thing he did there! I like this forum, but it is very big and diluted by the all of the miscellany contained herein. It may be the best...

My point in asking the question is that you loving Him is the most important thing you can do. God loves every one of us, but not all people love God and many who say they do may be saying it to please people listening more than to please Him. Stay sincere in that love for Him no matter what...

I don't know either and I was a Bing Crosby fan when Elvis was on top and Bing was all of sudden quite old fashioned. I know that I am, old fashioned I mean, but that's OK too.

But you only understand your side of the issue. It is apparent to me that you don't understand what I am say although you believe that you do. Again, How much do you love God?

Get Bing Crosby too while you are at it as he has a much better voice!

Well I have never been to a seminary, so I'll be slow to condemn. Certainly the students there can get some good things, but if they are taught to quench the Spirit of God there like in many of the churches of my experience... how many will have much of the Word of God written in/on their...

You really are frozen here, aren't you? Yes, this I agree with, but that has nothing to do with the Scriptures themselves. I see again that are frozen on this point. How much do you love God? How do think it is that God gives His message to people reading very different...

Precisely! I used to get people walking into the Social Security with one of our standard letters which were supposedly written in simple English wanting someone to explain what it said. They could read, but like a lot of Americans they were only semi-literate. In couple of minutes after I or...

Oh, I agree! I was never a lawyer, but in my job I made many binding decisions based on Social Security law. Thrown into the mix here is the fact that sometimes people who hold key facts, don't speak the same language as the decision makers. To get the truth of what they are wanting to say one...

Not really because you used the scriptures alone to support your case. Without the Holy Spirit I do not see the scriptures as being the Word of God. This is why people draw a multitude of conclusions and form a multitude of churches using the same scriptures from the same Bibles. The Holy Spirit...

The Spirit versus spirit really does matter. Without the Holy Spirit there is no Life! The Holy Spirit loses no battles whereas a person quoting the scriptures or calling on the name of Jesus without the Holy Spirit...: "Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over...

I believe that the original words were written by men as inspired by God to do so. I also believe that a person reading with the same inspiration is reading the Word of God. The key to what I said is "with the same inspiration". Without that inspiration, the Holy Spirit that is, it is like the...

Thanks, my friend!
