What Is Found At Grandma's house?

Precisely how it was with us. We usually took turns on first in the bath when the water was still clean.

What Is Found At Grandma's house?

My step-father who grew up on the Azores Islands in the Atlantic Ocean always used a knife to eat his meat. He used the fork only to hold the meat while he cut it. He them used the knife to transport a small piece to his mouth. When there was bread [most often the case] he would use it to sop up...

What Is Found At Grandma's house?

My grandmother's toilet was not indoors and sat about 100 yards behind the house. They lived on well water which was heated on the kitchen stove to warm up the bath water. All of the grandkids used take turns using the bath water in a large laundry tub on the kitchen floor.

What Is Found At Grandma's house?

Aye, my grandmother who died in 2003 at 100 years old had never had a license nor driven a motor vehicle. I think she gave thanks to God when she got her first telephone. She loved to talk with anybody about anything and the telephone made it an easier way to get in touch with anyone.

What Is Found At Grandma's house?

This one sure was the truth with both of my grandmothers. My maternal grandmother died in 2003 at the age of 100 years and 6 months.

What Is Found At Grandma's house?

Again I guess I date myself. None of my grandparents ever had a lawn that they mowed. The one in the picture is the only kind of lawnmower we ever had. The mowing job belong to me and my brother. No allowance received ... but if we did a good job, lol, we were allowed to eat dinner.

What Is Found At Grandma's house?

Good but neither of my grandmothers ever had one of those. My mother washed our clothes by hand in large metal containers until lo and behold my step-dad bought her a ringer washing machine as in the picture. Even then all of the drying was done on an outdoor clothesline.

So what the hell you doing with your life

Even so my friend! It was not because of him I am no longer affiliated but others similar and closer to home. Lots of churches around, but not so many where the Church regularly gathers.

So what the hell you doing with your life

While I agree it hurts to admit it for he is a very talented, intelligent man. He knows the Bible and all the multitude of doctrines his natural father used to teach. He sings and plays the piano beautifully yet... something very important is missing. I hesitate voicing it on a public forum...

To be a part of the I Am

We will struggle against the temptations until and if we have overcome them as Jesus overcame them. When He did then He was no longer in the world. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

Do you really believe that all of the true believers in God and His Son have delved deeply into the scriptures in order the receive the simple promises Peter described for us in the Acts 2? I grew up as a Catholic and never during all of that time as an active Catholic did I read a Bible...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

Continuing in the Word of God is not only for Jews, the naturally born children of Jacob/Israel. It is for everyone. Alone man will fail as people following Moses and Joshua and others in the OT failed. They failed because they walked alone: The prophets knew and warned people: "O LORD, I know...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

I do believe that it is directed to every one who is seeking His face. I brought it up as I was hoping you would explain why anyone would not believe that? David wrote of being told to seek His face and then proceeded to do so: "When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

Very good! Possibly the best one since our own children were still at home with us. Our youngest just turned 45, that's been a long time ago. Hopefully yours was good as well. Well since I have not been appointed by God as anyone's judge, what do you think? Remember when one fellow came to...
