Amen! Give God the glory! For those on the Fahrenheit scale that 46.6C is just shy of 115 degrees, rather on the warm side, common to the hot deserts of the SW USA!

Yes, it does speak of the contrast between the law [without the Life giving Spirit] to Moses versus the Word spoken by Jesus. Jesus also spoke about those speaking false words, words not of God... and not only from the law given to Moses but any lifeless words: "Beware of false prophets, which...

Yes, if and when we have been born again or from above, we are then children of God given then the means to be perfect as our Father is perfect. Some, I believe, claim it but have been misled. There is such a thing, unfortunately, as blind ministers/pastors/preachers leading equally blind...

Even so! God knows how low we have gone and how high and difficult the climb up will be. If we don't give up on Him, He won't give up on us. Do you know that people often pat me on the back as if I had done something special... on sometimes it is on one of those days when I felt like the bottom...

I have heard the same thing!

Closest to God? Ha, I just now read through the entirety of this thread and have been inspired. Sometimes it is like that. A certain theme or even just one post on this forum and God will be there to touch me one more time. Then I am closer... Believe me there are times when it doesn't happen...

"For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the...

Keep on asking the question sister, but don't be surprised when everyone does Not agree!

"And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Rev 2:3-4

Yes, and Acts 2:38 is simply stating in simplified form the type or shadow of the reality seen in the OT rituals you outlined. The reality is seen in them without being them. Because God is merciful and looks at our hearts rather than any superficial doctrines, some of us with righteously...

I've read the details of this in different others places over the years and considering what I have learned about people in general and politicians specifically, I have no doubt that it is true.

Or has also been said, "The squeeky wheel gets the oil". This applies in many places besides in how people think about Israel.

Hello Mary! It has been a long while since we have spoken together here. Since you tagged me as well I guess you won't mind me posting a few words? You call it "your truth" as if it belonged to @Enoch111 or to me or to any one of the individuals you named on this post. Jesus made it a bit...

I remember reading the books, The Lord of the Ring and The Hobbit as a college student in the 1960's when they were becoming quite popular, but alas no movies. When I was in West Berlin for my year as a student [1969-1970], we had a small gathering of American students in my dormitory room to...

You're like my wife. She always has a container of purified water at her fingertips. Me, I am more like @Grailhunter always having something to drink, but plain unflavored water... not so much. My wife presses me and I do try, but after so many years switching to straight water is unlikely to...

People apparently like it black and white and so God gave it to them in 'black and white' [actually written down anyway] through Moses. For the most part they seemed to fail the test, and also they for most part did not understand really how they were being tested. Then we come together here to...

Yes, sometimes people think that God's mercy is so great that He will overlook every mistake we make continuously. That is not so. There is a limit in God, and to presume otherwise is to tempt God. The limit with God, I believe, will arrive very soon for a person who decides to go ahead in...

I certainly hear you on this. I am glad you and you husband found people you enjoyed being with... I haven't visited any service or Bible study at all outside the Internet for a few weeks. The Internet is not quite the same. Since I had to quit my regular place of worship a bit over a year ago...

At least one or two to my knowledge, who believe strongly that they are the focal point or even the only gathering of the true Body of Christ, teach this directly. There are probably others. Most other organized groups likely effectively teach the same thing by the way they act and react to...

@rockytopva Praise His holy name and give God the glory at all times.
