The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

Perhaps for some, but my point has been to show that in addition to the many people who have faith but have not seen, there are also those who have seen and faith and even belief are not really the correct term...because they "know." And it should be reassuring to those of faith just to know...

Where did God come from? - The answer to a frequent question

God..."is." That, in his own words, is the meaning of "I am." We, on the other hand, exist somewhere between, we "were", and we "will be"...meaning "nowhere" really...or in God's words, "All is vanity" (nothing). That is why it is important to be born [again] of God's spirit...that we become One...

Well...good job...you got one word right: "ignorance."

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

You are missing the point...and are apparently too caught up in your own experience to hear any other comments. I do not question or deny your most common understanding. But you deny my explanation, and therefore do not know of it, though I am not the first to have told you. I specifically gave...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

Yeah, that may be its own topic, but you are correct when it comes to those looking on. It doesn't look very convincing. I also think you nailed it when you say everyone thinks they are right. I think that is the root of the problem, and yet it is mostly misunderstood. If understood and...

    Must Separate.

I have tried to express my agreement in the basic principle of separation as it applies to the end goal, as the dividing of light and darkness and good form evil, telling you that that is God's part not ours. Also, that history is full of examples where men have taken it upon themselves, with...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

I would say that it is true of anyone of us, that at any point in our lives, we only know what we know by what has been established up to that point...by the personal revelation of God - in his timing. Indeed, Paul is addressing knowledge as apposed to would-be knowledge, in the above passage...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

No, not at all, and I will clarify. You are correct, as is bbyrd, to say that belief and knowing are both part of our walk, which most certainly requires faith for the long game. But what I am referring to is, that when Paul was met by the Lord on the road to Damascus he did not experience faith...

    Must Separate.

Luke 16:10 10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. Godly principles are godly principles, and in this case, a union is a union and United is united. Applying the principle is a choice.

    Garden relationship

Yes, and yet we cannot discount the idea, for God himself has laid it all out in such a way, by his own choosing.

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

I just imagine people looking in on Christians from the outside, thinking...How nice, they all "believe" in a god that can't be seen! When the reality is, many do believe, but many do not need to venture belief...because they/we "know" for certain. God is not a "belief", he's a fact.

    Must Separate.

Matthew 19:6 "Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

It's simple English, "believing" and "knowing" are two different things. Onlookers are smart enough to know that...or at least believe it. ;)

Not accepting eyewitness testimony is certainly their loss. Works for murder, not life? Sad. :(

Okay. So...to play devil's advocate, just as Satan pointed out, their/our eyes were not opened, and they/we were not like God, knowing good and evil. I would not now put it as he put it, but I guess we lacked the "fullness" that was/is shared by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Proof Of God's Existence Has Now Been Documented! ! !

I marvel at this sort of thing, like science and math, even history. But mostly find it overwhelming like a run on sentence that looses the attention of some listening, even if they need to hear it. Fortunate for me, my proof came in the twinkling of an eye, when taken above the earth and filled...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

Essentially, there is a difference between "believing" and "knowing." Jesus referred to this difference when he addressed [doubting] Thomas, saying: “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” The Christian community has...

    Must Separate.

What I am saying is that if you reconcile what you are saying about what God designed America to be (as well as Israel) with the reality of history, then you could begin to understand what God is actually doing, instead of tearing off on some divisive tangent. What you are doing is like Peter...
