Yes bb. A mother's love is one of a kind. But then so is romantic love, when it's true. If love could be perfect then mothers would not make any mistakes. They would never wish their kid would go away for a couple of days. It's a pipe dream. I don't know ANY mother that had perfect love for...

I have someone close with cognitive impairment. She's a very loving person. (my granddaughter) But, boy, could she get upset. Persons with Angel's Syndrome are always loving and smiling, but, they also don't grasp too much, not anything really. I know some. As far as Mathew 5:48. I do believe...

    Paul and Faith Alone…

This is a wonderful post. If only all the osas'ers out there could get a grasp on this. I do want to say that Paul is right in that Justification is achieved ONLY by faith in God. But if we are to endure till the end and receive out reward, which is heaven, then we go on to sanctification. And...

    Paul and Faith Alone…

No HR. Knowing you are sinful does NOT mean you also repent of it. The way repent is used today, it means "to be sorry for". Most people who commit sin are not sorry for their sin. So they do not repent and change their ways.

Wow. What a good point. God could have made us without free will so we couldn't sin so Jesus would never have had to die. We could have all been Marys, Maries, whateva.

Pope wants to change the Lord's Prayer

The first 4 are for God. Yes. You're right. If we follow jesus' two great commandments they encompass all the others. He made Christianity so simple and beautiful and complete. Praise God.

Come to Italy! I studied this with a friar. I go every month...but we're doing history now. He's a very quiet man, about 60, and very intelligent and spiritual. There's about 15 of us. I'd be happy to go thru my notes with you... If you're interested.

Pope wants to change the Lord's Prayer

Your big problem is not understanding what Jesus commanded, which is the same as what the Church teaches. In fact, separating what Jesus commanded from what the Church teaches is Protestantism to the core. Therefore you don't know what the Church teaches or you are a closet Protestant. There is...

Pope wants to change the Lord's Prayer

Thanks. I like obeying Jesus and God's commandments, the moral ones. Like the 10 commandments. Let's say I TRY to obey them. Don't always succeed, but Jesus is there to cover for me. Or...He covers me, that's more biblical. Galatians 3:27

I studied it a couple of years ago. With a teacher. Many good things were brought out. It's a good read. It starts with room 1 - and ends up in room 7, the closest you could get to God. We're all in one of those rooms - maybe a mixture of more than one. I remember thinking I'd never make it...
