Why OSAS teaches all sins already forgiven

Where in God’s green Earth do you get the idea that it is logical to sin? Sin is an addiction that overcomes man’s capacity to reason. As Paul said, I don’t do the things I should and do the things I shouldn’t. These are words of one who recognized his addictive actions are not logical.

Why OSAS teaches all sins already forgiven

Not sure what this time dependent function is or where it can from. Peter believed Jesus was God’s Anointed but denied him anyway. You don’t consider that a sin? The problem with OSAS is pivoting on the notion of being saved and ex-post facto declare when they sin again that they were never...

Why OSAS teaches all sins already forgiven

There you go again with the ex post facto. What relevance does this have? Any and every sin a fleshy person can make.

Why OSAS teaches all sins already forgiven

No. I think there is confusion between being saved from sanctification. The sinners prayer holds - without Christ. The whole reason Paul write that we have to die daily to self is because every moment we may be tempted to give in to our fleshy nature rather than our spiritual nature. We remain...

Why OSAS teaches all sins already forgiven

If OSAS is true, then universalism is correct doctrine. You doth rely on false interpretation of archaic translation. Try reading a translation written in your lifetime. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t...

    "The word was a god"?

There are no 3 persons mentioned as God, only the Father, as I said. The weakness of your position is seen in relying on John 1:1, which does not even refer to Jesus but God. Jesus is not mentioned in John’s Gospel until v14. And his Gospel is the most anti-trinitarian of the whole Bible. V...

Is Jesus the End of the Law?

Not sure what the quarrel is to contradict yourself like this. It seems you are holding others to some standard of formal philosophical treatise. A type of repentance will get you saved, you say? To the layman, this translates to repent (in general) and you will be saved. To me, I like the...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

It is causation, not correlation, that Christianity and the height of human achievement go together. And you are very, very wrong in saying the US is not a Christian nation. America is a Christian nation discovered by Christians, founded by Christians - on Christian principles - and led by...

Is Jesus the End of the Law?

I am somewhat confused about the parsing of the Old Covenant from the Law made in this thread. I get that we don't EARN our salvation. However, regarding the ongoing applicability of the law, particularly the 10 Commandments, I ask myself does God want us to now violate them? I think the...

Appeal to Authority. Who are mathematicians to have special knowledge unavailable to the masses? Mathematicians can say all they want that 1=1 is an assumption. Common sense and anyone fully trained in having a philosophy of life recognize it as the axiomatic Law of Identity. Scientists are so...

The WRATH of God poured out on Christ … where?

It was a question from the OP! Most responses, including my first at Post #73, is some version of the premise of your question is wrong. Like asking when you stopped beating your wife.

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

A profoundly cynical confession. I'll pray for you. I agree and admit that some denominations oppose the medical treatment of blood transfusions. However, it is slanderous to suppose that epitomizes Christian's doing nothing to make the world a better place. Christianity is the greatest force...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

Wrong conclusion but I understand it based on the available evidence you are able to draw from. Although profoundly disturbing to a Cause and Effect believer, the Bible is clear that God choses people for his reasons that are not clear to us. I can tell you of my supernatural experiences...

    Data On The Trinity

Being facetious does not mean you were not changing the reference point There are many verses where God - in his wholeness, in his unitarian nature is juxtaposed with Jesus, where God is the subject of the sentence and Jesus is the object, passively being acted upon. For instance, Acts 17:31...

    Data On The Trinity

That God is referred to 5,000 times in the Bible using singular pronouns show He is singular.

Right. A self evident truth is not an assumption.

    Can't make this up

Figures. Climate alarmists are more zealous than Christians about their religion.

    Isn't that a distinction without a difference?

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

Completely wrong! As I said, it is not about perception but conception. We don't need to measure every circle that exists to know it is round. It is round, by definition. Perceiving a circle that is not round is not a triumph of human observation but a failure at humans to grasp reality at the...
