Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

How would you know anything about a personal relationship had not a church or theologian put it in your mind?

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Yes, well...you won't get any argument from me. I agree with all you've said except I'm not sure the CC was in a state of change before the reformation. I'm not versed enough on this subject to know this. For instance Moore died for his beliefs. It seems to me that there were some individual...

    What Is A Christian?

I understand very well. A cult is an organization where a PERSON is followed and one which is made up by that person. A religion is when God is followed. Christianity is when we believe that God became flesh in the person of Jesus and will save us from eternal death and enslavement to the...

What is wrong with this picture?

Did I say I believe in the BBQ pit? The Hebrew words for the after death are different and mean different concepts. The Greek word for hell is mistranslated. Does this mean hell, whatever it is, does not exist?

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

P.S. Yes. Jesus did come to set up the Kingdom of God here. The rules can be found in the gospel of Mathew, Luke and John. (Mark is a repeat). You'll find the rules written in red.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

God not only made up our rules but also those that atheists follow...the Natural Law. As far as who decides correct doctrine... I've often said that the Reformation was necessary because of the abuses in the CC. Want a list? I'm sure you don't need one. But look where we are today...in a...

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

I do believe you've misunderstood me. No problem.

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

A sign of deep frustration... To which I will no longer subject myself.

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

I like to listen to Jesus. I do believe He raised the bar. Many believe Paul lowered the bar so much that nothing is required of us. Except to believe. That's it. I hear say that Jesus can even be insulted if we try to do anything at all in the way of good works because He's already done it all...

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

Well AMEN to that. I must say I've become very disillusioned with this forum. Seems persons here do not wish to have any serious discussion and do not know their faith very well. Have heard some pretty strange ideas. I wish you much good luck here, you'll be needing it.

Why not answer my question instead? It's too difficult for ya?

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Do you know anything? Always asking me where this and that is referenced from. Do you realize how easy it is to find out even if I didn't?

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

I'm getting a little tired of trying to convince some here of what we all should already know. Plus, if one studies the Covenants, it's one of the first things that is learned. But learning is looked down upon, I've learned here... I'm just sorry for where Christianity has ended up.

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

The only law Jesus told us to obey is the Moral Law. Head coverings are a ceremonial law. That has been abolished. Jesus respected women more than any other man of His time. Interesting also is that Paul is listened to when it's convenient, and not when it's not convenient. Christians...

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

There is no evidence that every new covenant does not abolish the old covenant? Whateva...

Pre-Trib Rapture any day now!! Then Coming Apocalypse! Then Jesus Returns to set up His Kingdom.

I don't know much about eschatology. But could you help me with this: Is Jesus coming back one time or two times? If the rapture is true, that means Jesus is coming back twice.. Once for the rapture and once at the end of the world. How do you reconcile Acts 1:11 and Mathew 16:27 ?

The problem with Phil. 2:6, 7

Perfect, of course. I'd like to add that there is also an ORDER. Father Son Holy Spirit This would answer all the problems of Jesus praying to the Father when He was on earth.

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

    Did Jesus mandate it?

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

Every new Covenant does not abolish the older ones but adds to them or changes them in some way to make them better. Here's your scripture: Mathew 5:17 Jesus did not come to Abolish the law.

The Law of Moses Has Not Been Abolished

Are you saying you're totally free of sin or that this is your objective?
