There is almost zero in here that looks anything like Christ

I think sword is feeling hurt and disappointed and would like to be here. I, for one, would like to see him back. Our relationship with the Christ, should extend to everyone! (General statement)

Just came upon this by chance. Why do mods allow this arguing to continue??? It causes good posters to leave. Is this the goal ! A thread could be closed. A poster could be banned from only one thread. Zero tolerance creates a good atmosphere.

Regarding your last paragraph... Would you say prayer is praise and worship? Jesus did say to pray....

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Weird, strange, odd An idea could be the above. It does not mean stupid.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Hi MM Have you read the article by Sosa on the Pope creating a "liquid society"? This means that once the CC was very strict in it's beliefs and held firm to it's doctrine. I do see this as changing ... At one time, just a few years ago, it was not possible for remarried couple's to receive...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

It's nice if someone reads our posts! But basically I read to hear other's opinions, then if I don't agree I like to say why. It's nice to discuss. When I first got here, one gal told me she wouldn't even speak to me anymore! It's incredible. What did I do??? So yes. It's good to read, to...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Yes MM But the CC is going to go the same way if what we see continues to happen. This pope is going to change DOGMA, he really already has, it just can't be accepted yet. Instead of sticking to dogma, he's saying that each individual case should be considered. Different bishops believe...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

I agree. But I also agree with you. I'd never like a post where there's something not nice going on.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Don't be so hard on yourself Richard Oti. This happens because we're human and the rules here are rather lax and it brings us to have discussions that are too personal. I don't take any disagreement as personal. I like to discuss why I may not agree by using scripture and logical thinking...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Thanks for taking the time to write. Here's how I feel: I came here to discuss God and biblical principles, not to be criticized and called names because some do not agree with me. AND then some give Likes to those who name-call. This is not right. Let alone the fact that I've come across...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Your original post was bad enough. Then you compounded the mistake by using the term "ignorant". Here's what you said: "After years of study and with bible in hand, you can write a post like this??? Amazing!!! No wonder Paul said a woman should be quiet in church" A post like what? I said...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

For everyone reading along...including the moderator. This will show how a thought does not follow through, and who is truely ignorant here...: Post 396: jimd: As far as my salvation goes, what any theologian or church believes matters not a whit , only my personal relationship with God counts...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

I find it amazing that after so many posts I'm not understood. Which is the reason I'm no longer posting but just being courteous and answering. And the name calling is unbearable and should not be allowed on a serious Christian site.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

"Where were you o man when I created....." That doesn't sound personal. That sounds like God almighty. Job 38:4 and on.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Thanks for calling me ignorant. So nice of you. How about showing me where in the NT Jesus said we're supposed to have a "personal relationship" with Him? I know the words won't be there...show me the concept. Thanks.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

What does the above have to do with a personal relationship the way it's understood today?? The above is referring to the fact that God has always been perceivable to them that care to perceive. The concept of a personal relationship with God did not exist till recently. I'd say the 20th...

Being Banned from so called Christian Foruns

I agree. I'm not talking about this forum where anything can be discussed. Some don't allow certain subjects. Some don't allow non-Christians. It's nice to be able to talk about anything as long as it's civil. And especially non-cristians should be allowed! How else can they come to know what...
