When the Bible says, "Dead", what does it mean?

More mysticism? Yup, that's dualism. Contradictions abound. In is out. Polygamy is monogamy, etc. Context, you see.

When the Bible says, "Dead", what does it mean?

anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell. Matthew 5:22

Condemnation is Only for the Confused Non- OSAS Crowd

No elaboration necessary. I reject mysticism in all its forms, including the real Christians from the real Christians who also backslide. Peter denied Christ 3x. Pretty sure he was a real Christ follower, a real Christian.

When the Bible says, "Dead", what does it mean?

Horrible equating of a relationship with the emergence of a new person. A plumber is what a person DOES. A husband is a relationship status of the same person. A plumber is what a being DOES. A husband is a relationship status of the same being.

Condemnation is Only for the Confused Non- OSAS Crowd

@ScottA, are you a OSAS? You are obviously defensive, trying to make this about me. "To live is Christ" is figurative. The fallacy of OSAS is the Post Hoc of devout Christians who back slide. You say they NEVER lived for Christ, right?

Condemnation is Only for the Confused Non- OSAS Crowd

That’s NOT the point. The point is there remains conditions put on the follower of Christ. Jesus talks about not bearing fruit, losing saltiness and not knowing one who even performed miracles in his name.

You know this is figurative, right?

    Your Throne O God

Pot meet kettle. He referenced a dozen theologians. Absurd to denigrate it as a personal theology.

    Your Throne O God

No, you have asserted it but not shown it. For instance, the entire Gospel of John cannot be used for the purpose as it goes against what John said. 1:1 does not even reference Jesus. This has been shown many times but you do not have eyes to see. Should God get all the glory or should his...

    A Discussion About Truth

This is why I often break up a response to one paragraph or even sentence at a time. This makes each post bit size. I know you do not do this but some compensate for depth of understanding with copious copy and pasting of verses. Volume <> Correctness. (This is an online forum, not a formal...

    Your Throne O God

Yea, because I have refuted all of them. :p In Hebrews 1:5, who said he would be his father? God (in his wholeness, in his unitarian nature). 'For us, there is one God, the Father.' 1 COR 8:6

    Your Throne O God

No. The video title is clearly against how trinitarians hope is the only way the Bible should be interpretted. Again I say, you are attempting to repurpose Hebrews 1, which is only to explain the superiority of the son to the angels. The video is a brilliant and irrefutable analysis of the...

Which translation do you think is the best English translation?

Not sure what reconciliation you are looking for as I perceive none. Just because God can and does lie (as Scripture shows over and over again) does not mean we have no hope. If anything, it is you who has to reconcile in your own mind, if God lied about the pathway to everlasting life? For me...

For those who think Jesus is God - Why is that important?

I see you are stuck on 'need' and 'necessity.' The more insightful focus is sin. Sin means separation from God. God is life. So, sin is death. Death a is necessary consequence for our sinful choices. Do you understand this? Have you prayed on this? Have you read Scripture seeking answers? Keep...

For those who think Jesus is God - Why is that important?

I understand. You have to accept Scripture for what it is and not grabble with what it isn't. Years ago, I complained that it was not written in an easy how to manual. I was annoyed that Sermons would jump around, not only from chapter to chapter but book to book to make their point. I asked why...

    Your Throne O God

Absolutely not! The writer of Hebrews is quoting Psalms. In addition, like the Gospel of John, trinitarians attempt to re-purpose Scripture. Whereas per John 20:31, the entire Gospel is to show something other than Jesus is God; namely that Jesus is the Son of God, Hebrews 1 is about showing...

Condemnation is Only for the Confused Non- OSAS Crowd

This is not what logic dictates. All those in Noah's Ark will be saved. If someone left the ark when the float waters came, too bad for them; they are not saved because they were once in the ark, for in the moment of truth, they were out of the ark. This is what logic dictates. The definition...

    Your Throne O God

It is no such declaration. 'O God,' like his son, means of God and the verse quotes Ps 45 referring to an ancient king (like Solomon who has sons, Ps 45:16), which is the Psalmist speaking, not God. Whose throne does Jesus sit on? Jesus sits on the throne of God. The throne of God is eternal...

Which translation do you think is the best English translation?

It is for Scripture explicitly says God lied 100’s of times. Ez 14:9 “‘And if a prophet is deceived into giving a message, it is because I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet. Obviously people are making an idol of YHWH to be and act contrary to Scripture. Not sure what more evidence you...
