I too was taught by some pretty tough nuns. Unfortunately, they weren't always correct in their catechesis. If you want the answers - go right to the source - the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

I don't know what movie you saw - but it wasn't produced by the Catholic Church. That whole scenario is silly. As for not touching the Eucharist with your hands - that was a discipline - NOT a doctrinal matter. Disciplines can and do change. Not eating meat on Fridays was a discipline. It...

Not sure why this topic gets dragged out of mothballs every Lenten season. It shows a complete lack of faith in the Word of God. For starters, the Jews reckoned any PART of a day as a WHOLE day. Furthermore - they counted a Day as being from sundown on the previous day to sundown on the next...

And this means . . . what, exactly? That there have been popes who were sinners? News flash: You're a sinner

YOU weren't a faithful Catholic? What a surprise . . .

I already did. I gave you the link in post #47. YOUR move . . .

WHO said I'm not allowed to touch it?? Not only does he pout it in my hand - I put the Eucharist in my mouth.

Nope - I don’t worship bread – any more than I would worship a tortilla. I worship Jesus, who is present - body, blood, soul and divinity in the Eucharist. Have you ever studied history? I didn’t think so. You see, my historically-ignorant friend – heresy was a crime against the STATE in...

And, as I've told you before - that position is a stupid as saying that I am a Baptist because I feel like making that claim. I strongly urge you to pick up a history book and read about what caused all of the division. It wasn't the Catholic Church - it was men like Luther, Zwingili, Calvin...

And that makes a difference?? Molestation is molestation - no matter WHO is doing it.

The Bible tells us that Jesus sacrifice is an ETERNAL one (Heb. 7:25). Look up that word, "eternal", sparky . . .

And even MORE in the Protestant sects . . .

Uh huh - and in EVERY instance, it begins with "Alleged" or "Accused" or "thought to have", etc. These aren't facts - - they're accusations. this list reads like Irving Wallace and David Wallehinsky's "Book of Lists" that is filled with similar allegations that have no actual proof. Don't be...

Not fear of the Lord (Deut. 6:13, 10:20).

Yup - he was definitely a piece of work. Like I said - I pray that he repented of all of the evil he proliferated.

I play nice with you because you're charitable. I scold trouble-makers because they need scoldin' . . .

Although I understand what you are trying to say - it's much more than just a remembrance. It's the re-presentation of his Eternal Sacrifice.

I also own this abominable collection of anti-God filth. I think it's important to know what the enemy is up to. I'll never forget the day I bought them. I went to a Protestant Bible and book store and asked for them because they weren't on display. The lady looked around, then said, "Follow...

I am . . . 1 Tim 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

At each mass, we are taken to the Crucifixion of our Lord - His eternal sacrifice. Like Paul - we preach Christ crucified which is a stumbling block to the Jews and a FOLLY to gentiles like yourself (1 Corinthians 1:23) . . .
