Of course you're right. I often ask what "believe" means in the greek, but I never get a reply because it doesn't suit some posters who believe they only have to believe with thier mind or heart, but not with their will. Believing in Jesus also means to will to do as He commanded. Also, I...

How do I answer a question I don't understand? How does God keep the law? HE MADE THE LAW. The law did not make Him. He keeps the law in the sense that God is a just God and He makes no mistakes regarding morality. In this sense He keeps the law. But He came BEFORE the law... He IS the law...

This is a very important concept KBCid. I posted an entire page of what "fulfill" means. It probably went unread. Some believe that it means that since Jesus fulfilled all the law required and we believe in Him, WE are no longer required to obey the law, although we will WANT to. Which is very...

Far be for me to claim deep knowledge of the O.T. The above is Job 42:3-7 It assumes that Job spoke to God face to face. The bible tells me no one has ever seen God. Which brings up WHO did he see, IF, he did see God. Was it Jesus? Job says he hates himself. Why? For the same reason we all...

Remember that the judgement will be all about YOU. Also, you do love to post Ephesians 2:8-9 You always leave out Ephesians 2:10 We are created for GOOD WORKS. You see, mj, the bible does not contradict itself. You don't get to post just what YOU like,,,it has to jive with the rest of...

Don't look toooo deeply. Job is probably the oldest book in the O.T. Could it all be literal? Did they speak in a different way than we do? Dialectics, as it's called. It does teach us things...

James 1:22 You really do need to stop thinking about boasting all the time and start doing what God wants you to do. Oh. Am I assuming you don't do as God wishes? Well, YOU also assume many things about some of us here. Like, for instance, that we're trying to work our way to salvation. It's...

>I agree that he was blameless. But I'm sure he wasn't perfect...

Stranger, You can't mean that question seriously! I have to assume you're getting at something. God has a character. God has attributes. Part of the character of God is MORALITY. God is a MORAL God. Do you doubt this?? How would God change? God remains the same God. Hebrews 13:8 And...

1. What are the proper clothing? Only YOU are wearing them? 2. Everyone has a plastic face except YOU? Sounds really self-righteous to me coming from someone who believes that only Christ could make us righteous. Has Christ failed then??

bb agrees with you...

Are you saying Job never sinned or are you saying he was blameless? There is none righteous, no not one. Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. NASB

The above is for KBCid. But I really need to say how wrong everything you say is. We know that if we break one law, we've broken them all. So? What exactly does this mean? That since I broke one (or more) I might as well go ahead and break them all? What doctrine do you follow? Certainly not...

I agree with @Dcopymope . The question is wrong. That's like asking: Do you keep being human? Of course we do. We ARE human. God IS law. You cannot separate God from who He is. God is moral. God is morality. God is the law. Asking if He keeps the law is a sign of misunderstanding the...

In post 632, you said this: "The Jews who believed were those that accepted Jesus as their Messiah and King." The Messiah did not necessarily have to be God. The Messiah was one who was SENT by God to be His representative. So it seemed to me that you were saying that they were treating Jesus...

I do put a lot of blame on the church which is no longer teaching doctrine as has always been taught but is changing it to suit a society filled with persons who have a lot of ego, and are not willing to accept responsibility because it costs. Same reason why divorce rates are so high. And...

We are justified by faith. Fine. Agreed. What about James? The brother of Jesus said that faith without works is dead. Do we want a dead faith or a faith that is alive? Dead means we do nothing BUT have faith. That's not enough. We must do the work of God. James 2:16 be warmed and filled...

I'm afraid the church has been won by these types: 2 Timothy 3:5-7 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by...

Frankly, I don't see anyone here boasting. And if they are, they're not in keeping with Jesus' commands. Mathew 6:1 Jesus says to be careful to to PRACTICE OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS before men to be noticed by them, otherwise THAT will be our reward and we will have NONE with the Father in heaven...

So what do we do? Give up because the law cannot be kept? Jesus said to be perfect as the father in heaven is perfect. Do you think Jesus meant to literally be perfect? How quickly you give up! The New Covenant provides us with the POWER to keep the commandments to the best of our ability...
