    A Common Error

Could you explain to us what you believe happened to those persons, before Christ, who believed in God and had faith in God? IOW, if there are two dispensations (which I do not believe, BTW) what happened to the God believers of the first?

    Jesus and Commands

P.S. What would you say "fruit" referes to? Bring forth fruit. Does it mean to bring others into the Kingdom? Or does it mean to do good deeds?

    Jesus and Commands

Thanks Stranger. Great list. Would you care to elaborate on the Last Supper?

    Jesus and Commands

I don't have an ignore list either. What I meant is why is love so important? Why do you list only the love commandments? Jesus left many commandments --- why is love the most important one?

    Was James confused?

Right. And also, didn't the fact that the Jews REMAINED in The Way, prove that they believed Jesus was God? Since they believed so strongly in the first commandments from the O.T. wouldn't they have had to be convinced that Jesus was God in order to remain in The Way? Deuteronomy 6:4

    Jesus and Commands

Thanks job. I agree. @mjrhealth has said the same. Why are there no greater commandments than these?

    Jesus and Commands

Could you please back that up with scripture? Didn't Jesus say this in mathew 22:39?

BTW I don't give instructions...I just state my opinion.

    Was James confused?

Please don't speak about me as if I weren't here. I had something to say and said it directly to the person. You should do the same. How about DOING what Jesus said instead of just TALKING about it?

    Was James confused?

Many Jews of the time had this problem. We see it clearly stated in the book of Galatians. Paul asked them why they would want to leave a life of enslavement to rules and regulations when they could instead serve the living god. It must have been difficult to leave everything they knew. Some...

You're right. Sorry 'bout that. A priest is coming here this week to get some stuff translated. I hope it's not tooooo catholic! We talk a lot. I tell all the priests there's no purgatory.

You keep saying I'm Catholic. I don't mind, it's just that it's not true! You're pretty much right but not in everything and, yes, it does depend on the parish or Bishop. You can't go to the altar to receive communion in clothing that is not decent. You can't receive communion under certain...

    Was James confused?

Oh. You mean MAN'S standards. Like a woman I used to know who went to a Church that didn't allow women to wear make-up or pants. That's legalism. Although it could be found in the scriptures. Paul said a man is not to dress like a woman, V V, and woman shouldn't bring attention to themselves...
