What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

That's good that you accept those Books as inspired - but I was referring to the majority of Protestants who don't. Why do you accept them when most of your Protestant brothers don't?

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

Your information about Saturnalia is patently false. Saturnalia wasn't celebrated on December 25th. It ran from December 17th to the 23rd. It was over and done with 2 days before the 25th. Around A.D. 206, St. Hippolytus of Rome wrote in his Commentary on Daniel that: "The first coming of our...

    Baptism

This is an exercise in ignorance of Scripture. "Firstborn" simply means the one who "opens his mother's womb" (Luke 2:23). Exod. 13:2 (KJV) Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

    Baptism

I think the better question is: Where is it mentioned in Scripture that Mary had children other than Jesus?? Show me . . .

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

I don't understand people who consider the celebration of the birth of our Lord as something "evil" or "pagan" or "idolatrous". There's just no logic in that kind of thinking. As for the 7 missing Books of the OT from Protestant Bible, they are: Sirach Tobit Wisdom Judith 1 Maccabees 2...

Dropping Circumcision as a requirement for Christianity in the Early Church

I couldn't care less if you chose to stop with the asinine posts or stopped posting altogether. Instead of getting angry because I hold you accountable to the truth - just THINK before you post this kind of nonsense. I'm just a poster on an obscure online forum. GOD will hold you accountable...

Dropping Circumcision as a requirement for Christianity in the Early Church

Sooooo, you showered with "Most" Catholics?? There are about 600 million Catholic males. Again - THINK before you post.

Dropping Circumcision as a requirement for Christianity in the Early Church

I don't know of one single genuine Christian community that requires circumcision.

Dropping Circumcision as a requirement for Christianity in the Early Church

How would you know if "most Catholics" are circumcised? The reason I hold you accountable for this type of comment is because it's moronic to generalize this way. You can't possibly know if "most" Catholic men are circumcised. THINK before you post, bbryd . . .

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

Then, why do Protestants reject 7 Books from the open Jewish Canon of the 1st century? Why do you adhere to the POST-Christ, POST-Temple canon that was closed by a rabbinical assembly AFTER Jesus died, rose and ascended to Heaven - and NOT the one that Jesus and the NT writers studied from and...

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

That's not what I said. I simply asked you WHY you adhere to a Canon of Scripture that was declared by the Authority of the Catholic Church - when you reject that Authority. You have posted angry response after angry response - but you just can't seem to answer this question. NO Protestant has...

    ANTI-CATHOLICISM IN THE MEDIA

Actually - you're following mjrhealth's example. Don't worry, though - you have plenty of company here on this forum . . . .

    ANTI-CATHOLICISM IN THE MEDIA

No - it's a case of their chickens coming home to roost, if I may borrow an expression.

    ANTI-CATHOLICISM IN THE MEDIA

Yes you DO care. If you didn't, you wouldn't complain when I expose you for lying . . .

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

Not at all because although they are disjointed and perpetually-splintering - they share a unity in their rebellion against the Catholic Church, which is the fullness of truth (Eph. 1:22-23).

    Redemption ?

Translation: "I can't address any of the Scripture verses you presented, so I'll keep make asinine little jokes about Jesus' mother instead." Good luck with that on Judgement Day . . .

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

We already have that in the tens of thousands of disjointed and perpetually-splintering factions of Protestantism which ALL teach different doctrines - yet ALL claim to have the "Truth" . . .

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

So, you have NO idea who told you that Scripture is inspired. You have NO idea that those very Scriptures show that Jesus gave His Church Supreme Authority - and that the Holy Spirit would guide it to ALL truth. You can't have "God and Savior" without His Church, which is His Body.

What does Our Savior consider Idolatry

And WHO told you that these Books were Scripture?? WHO told the WORLD that these Books were Scripture?? Answer: It was the Catholic Church, guided by the Holy Spirit. So, again - WHY do you accept the Church's Authority to declare the Canon of Scripture but reject all other Authority??
