Perhaps you have explained your problem for yourself. Until you understood what was lacking I do not believe God held it against you. When you understood you took care of it. If you had died physically prior to having understood the lack, I don't believe God would have charged you with the lack...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

Yes, Jesus is the truth, but we need to love him even though we do not know him as well as we could or should. Many believers love Jesus but don't know him very well. Isn't that OK for new converts who know almost nothing about him, but they love him anyway? If we don't lose our first love...

I don't know of any group with an already established set of doctrines that always teaches it all right. This is my point. You focus on those named three as if anyone in them is bound to miss the way to God. That is not how God works. "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after...

Another Merry god Incarnated Baby Born Celebration?

Is mocking ever in order... simply because we do not understand or disagree with another person's beliefs? Wouldn't it be better to remain silent?

    City pays hospital bill

@stunnedbygrace Yes, there is something wrong with it, but this is the system within which we live. There is apparently a tremendous amount of medical knowledge available, but there are some incompetent and/or ignorant people administering it, or even worse, treating people who really need...

Who is it that knows God? Who is it that does not? "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that...

And who will decide if they answer truly or not? How many people sitting in designated Christian pews could describe the difference between God and each and every false god that anyone follows? We are to live for God by faith, NOT by knowledge. What is it Jesus says about this? "Let both grow...

    On How to be saved

If we are sheep hearing His voice and following His lead, we have no excuse for stumbling. But... if we do, we serve a helpful and merciful God.

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

"For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves are not wise." II Cor 10:12 The only one we should compare ourselves with is Jesus. All the rest of us...

You have certainly insulted her personally by saying that her heart was not right, as if you could see her heart so clearly as that. You have presumed what is in her heart based on what you believe about Mormons in general. If everything little thing you believed and knew about God was...

"And it came to pass, when king "--- " heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold of him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him" I...

Speak for yourself, for this is certainly Not clear to everyone. Lots of people I have met would call Mormonism a cult and JW's and Oneness Jesus Only, and others. My experience is that every group of people holding themselves out as Christians has errors, some times as I see them terrible...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

Of course I disagree. I have grown much over the years I have included tongues as a part of my prayer life with God. I have no doubt about that.

    On How to be saved

Yes, and if this is a first step, it certainly should not be a final step. Jesus grew and we must grow as the new man of God. "And Jesus increase in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" Luke 2:52

    On How to be saved

People are in many different places in their walk with God. Some are very young and ignorant, but their love toward God sees them through the worst of times. We should not remain ignorant as time goes by. We need to grow in the things of God. If we do not then we will stagnate and eventually die...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

I won't argue with you again on this point as we did it once before on this forum on another thread. I do disagree with what you see in the scriptures and with your opinion about tongue talking today. For my understanding search for that other thread. On this I have not changed since then...

    On How to be saved

If each of us does as much as he can with what he has, God who gave him what he have will certainly be fair in any judgment on his case, will He not? God does not just cut us off because we stumble. If we do stumble, but we have been working with Him, He will allow us the opportunity to make a...

    On How to be saved

I made no such insinuation. However, I believe that all people need to understand that Jesus really was a man tempted. The difference on this between Jesus and us is that he never surrendered to temptation as all of us have done. Using always the right words or the right language will not alone...

    On How to be saved

Yes, Jesus was a carnal man, a man of flesh tempted in every point as all of us have been unless the writer of Hebrews was in error: "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." Heb...
