One problem with this is that each of us has an idea about what are salvation issues and what are not. Should we use your list of salvation issues or mine or someone else's? And your solution to this problem of division is what? I would say the solution is for everyone to surrender completely...

Amen! I guess if I put my mind to it I could write a book about what those supposedly "dumb" animals did right without really giving it a thought while people giving it many thoughts still missed the mark.

I remember when I was still working in a small Social Security field office and due to occurrences of those days [a great many years ago now], we were given the option of have a security guard on duty when we were open to the public. Long before I retired [2000] it was no longer an option but...

Aye, but God being all knowing and the ultimate planner had a reason even for allowing Adam or you and I to be that way... whether we understand it correctly or not. The good thing for us is that Jesus was also in His plan. Give God the glory!

Sorry not to have visited in a while. Besides this I have a lot of things going offline. When I can I will revisit to say hello to old friends who have not appeared here.

Man is certainly his own worst enemy.

Sometimes people cannot see the forest for the trees. This was the spiritual blindness of Balaam who apparently did see and hear some things from God, but missed for him the most important message of all. I greatly miss my own animals. They taught me many things about God and yet they never...

Welcome old friend. Hopefully you will remember me from that other forum we were both on with other old friends. Hope to see you around the forum. Give God the glory!

@Ivor Welcome to the forum my friend. I presume you are the Ivor that I knew from another forum with our friends @"ByGrace" and @Butterfly all of you having a British connection. Give God the glory!

I looked at it and saved it for future reference. May God bless you in your endeavour to serve Him!

Neither would it for me, but when I simply typed in exactly he posted here it went right to it.

Indeed! Balaam had really been in touch with God, but perhaps the most important words God spoke to him were through a donkey. Probably that donkey never spoke the Word of God again. Fallible prophets falter and stumble and sometimes speak from their own minds instead of from God. We may need...

As in Elijah versus the 400!

I agree! It was very good speaking truth... if only we can understand how it may apply to us as well as the other guy.

Yes, I agree that Trump seems to be slowing the negative process. I have not great liking for Trump but he is an improvement over Obama [That is not saying much, is it?] My wife despises our current president, but she also understands that God may be using him to allow someone a little more time.

Again some are truly spreading death around when they open their mouths...! Is it directed by God or is it a random killing? "Thou shalt not kill." Exodus 20:13 That Exodus verse does not elaborate much even if you replace "kill" with "murder" or with "dash to pieces". Who or what should be...

Can it mean a delay or a reprieve from worse things? Perhaps it is a small way in which people are expressing their dissatisfaction with the way things in the world are going. But is it enough to please God finally? We shall see if God will allow us so much time. Indeed, give God the glory!

My dogs are missed when I read things like this. I used to have a many as four dogs at a time, but I have outlived most of them. The last two are with a good friend in Nebraska who takes very good care of them. We've been to visit the little critters twice since our separation. We now live in a...

I don't feel bad. We have one of those indoor grills on which we can fix our brats when so inclined. Our turn will come with the nicer weather. I would really rather have cold weather than the sweltering heat in a high humidity summer... that is if I could choose in favor of my druthers. Hope...

Nothing is difficult for someone who surrenders completely to God. The problem of men has always been a lack of willingness to surrender. What do we have that Joshua and Caleb did not have? What cart and what horse? Do we not serve an unchanging timeless God? As I said the surrender to God...
