@HunterB Welcome to the forum!

It sounds like the two of you were also each other's special blessing from God.

The "how", my friend is through the Holy Ghost. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in...

One of our differences is in what we believe to be the Word of God. If the written book alone were the Word, look out for the educated atheist.

People can also quench the Spirit by looking away from Jesus instead of looking for him and toward him.

But then... "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." Prov 16:18

All of us have been liars, my friend. The only one who would never lies at all any more while he had time would be one who has the whole mind of God and follows Him alone. One moment of quenching Spirit within will result in a lie when the person chooses in that moment to speak.

But Jesus had all seven and we are to be like him, so why in your case only one?

He was 80 years old before he was ready to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. He only had 40 years left. How long is a life time?

@David victory Just remember when God does answer you, seemingly favorably, it does not mean there will be no more challenges and no more temptations. The battles will continue while we still within the time allotted to us by Him. God never loses battles, but when we lean on our own...

I don't always have answers to such questions. I simply strive to surrender to God and to follow Him. Sometimes He gives me an answer, but if He does it is for His reasons. If it helps I am opposed to OSAS in the sense that people have usually supported it on this forum. Yet, I believe that some...

OK...

I guess we really are in a sense in completely different worlds. Sometimes other speak about things which make no sense to me. So then I try to answer with what I see or with questions and...? God really has not changed at all. Some people have chosen to change and been shown the way to Life...

Is there more than one Tree of Life? If only one, who gets to partake of it now? "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." Rev 2:7 How is it that we...

I don't believe you have said anything really different than what I said. Your expansion is different than mine. But it is OK as God is certainly right while every man is a liar as it is written.

We are as limited as we make ourselves. God is not limited except as He has granted us the choice of limiting Him. The children of Israel did and so have many people today: "Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel." Psalm 78:41 The apostle Paul warned us about...

Of course they do when they are quickened in us by the Holy Spirit. Consider again my friend the sincere atheist who believes that God is not. He will read and study that same inspired Bible that we do and receive nothing good, because the door to his heart is closed. "Behold, I stand at the...

"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:39 Who was called by the Lord our God? Only Jews? "Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? As he saith also in Osee, I...
