And once we have subtracted the addition is then essential. First cleanse and then add proper nourishment: "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when...

Even so...!

Who are these snakes? Some of those beasts [Job 18:3, Ecc 3:18]that need to be killed or? I speak not of the little reptiles slithering around here and there but the beasts that Solomon writes that wisdom has killed [Prov 9:1-2]. So then are not those snakes among those beasts of Solomon's...

I love the look of snow, but this old body does not love the feel of snow and the cold air accompanying it any more. We were supposed to have snow last night and today, but all we got was the cold air. At least it is not wet outside. My wife and I are remaining snug in our warm little abode...

Nothing is difficult for someone who surrenders completely to God. The problem of men has always been a lack of willingness to surrender. What do we have that Joshua and Caleb did not have? Teaching tongues may be at times in error, but speaking in tongues as we surrender to God never is...

It is good that some people who are able also bother to do so.

@Willie T We enjoyed that. When I brought it to full screen I called my wife in... Years ago when we live in Vallejo, CA [East Bay from San Francisco] we used to take our children [very young then] and drive down to Oakland to view some of the beautiful Christmas displays people used to put out...

@Grams Hi again! Sometimes just walking around outside and talking to God is a worthwhile thing to do. In cities, this may be more difficult and hard to find satisfaction, but out in the country, it is whole other ball game, isn't it? When you talk to God when are all alone as you are, speak...

Indeed, it reminds us perhaps of a time when there were Monarchs and Nobles with real worldly power. Mostly only figurehead kings/queens remain, but we have some new ones with other titles still striving to be absolute monarchs and who is happy about it? Who has the power, really, to improve on...

When they called on Him, He provided a way out of the trouble of the moment. People later presumed that what worked once [according to the flesh] would work again. People do the same thing today. Instead of striving to hear His voice and to follow Him along each step of our journey, we want...

Each of us really must do what God has called us to do... but many who do walk with God in some measure, I believe, miss this having effectively appointed themselves as spokesmen for Him.

Indeed, if anything of the power of God has dwindled, is it not the power that should be residing in people... who have preached or received a watered down or diluted message and ran with it as they have become weary with well doing? God had established His plan from the beginning of His...

Don't people sometimes do the same thing with the written Bible?

Read the scriptures my friend and try to understand or ask of God. Consider that Jesus is the Word of God. If the Bible is in some way him, why is it that people misunderstand or understand not at all what has been written by those inspired by God to write therein? "And the disciples came, and...

Do you really believe that people without God [unbelievers] have changed at all? They remain blind and deaf. People with God are growing and changing or they are in delusion. Many people claiming God and His Son today likely are in delusion, but go slow on drawing conclusions unless God is...

If you are looking into all of the research and conclusions of men on this, then go ahead. None of that stuff is new to me and none of it alone will change my stand. Only God could do that in this regard. I have been serving God for many years and every day in addition to talking to God in...

But what else did Paul say about it? "I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:" I Cor 14:18 "Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues." I Cor 14:39 I guess I won't say more because there is no doubt. Apparently you have none. You are one who...

But later in Nehushtan people had effectively denied God and His Son while continuing to pay lip service to them. This is the point of Nehushtan.

Understanding this was one of my big steps forward toward God.

Fairly well here, Grams! You need to spend more time here and/or in reading the Bible as you talk to God. I have found my time spent with God to be absolutely essential to my own well being. I also do other things, such as work on my stamp collection, play my new keyboard or one of my...
