Are they sliding or are they as a nation already a forgone conclusion? He was banned from many people's hearts long before the physical attempts to ban Him became so blatant. What condition did he put on his forgiveness of the ones who put him to death? As to your real complaint in the OP...

My own general disagreement [not specific because God may require from one or a few what He would frown upon for most] with the application of tatoos is only indirectly connected to Leviticus. I am more concerned with accomplishing God's will by being a living testimony because I am led by the...

I was not aware of this. Of course I knew there different varieties, but I guess it would be unusual if they all always got along. But, maybe they get along better than people do?

@CoreIssue But my friend consider what Jesus as a man went through. He certainly was less deserving of mistreatment and persecution than you and I or anyone else? Yet in spite of that he said from the cross, And what was he said as he was dying on the cross? "...Father, forgive them; for they...

Should we go with the majority presuming they are in accord with God?

I really would not know. My friend although born in Mexico was already a US citizen living in Oklahoma when I met him 1976. He simply rescued the squirrels which his tree work in Oklahoma caused to be orphans. But... as you say, God made them all in any case.

When we make a change to what we put on [be it make up, or cologne or clothes or whatever] the best reason would be that God spoke to our heart. Unfortunately as you have indicated, this is often not the reason at all. What other people think about us does too often affect our thinking and our...

You were blessed to have such a child of the King for a spouse.

Give God the glory!

@Episkopos I guess I understood some of this without really understanding it. You said in one place that you had gone through many conversions. This is a type of growth I have seen, but seeing the next level or even understanding that a next level exists requires perhaps another surrender...

She finally gave up on the tortillas... [but not on me]. She makes burritos and tacos, but buys the prepared tortillas for them.

The "light" which lighteth every man [John 1:9] is that which attracts us all, and this relates to the "many are called" of Matt 24:14. But few are chosen because so few choose to work or strive or seek that Light. David heard God on this as well the face being the same Light: "When thou...

America is like Samaria, a mixture of old and new, of good and bad, a melting pot is one phrase that has been used. But God will spit the ones who ride the fence out of His mouth...

Some of us already don't. I guess we only remember how things have been... for us. They certainly have never been even close to perfect, but that is the result of man being the beast that he is. So many are looking for the 'beast' of Revelation, but they apparently own no mirrors. If more...

I believe you are wrong but there is no proof I could provide acceptable to someone who has made up his mind. Even God does not force people to believe what they cannot see with their own physical eyes and hear or touch with their own physical senses. If you start such a thread I will probably...

I like watching the wild critters on documentaries or if any are around in my yard, but I've never had anything more exotic than a white rat, a turtle and a multitude of dogs. My mother did not like my rat. I used to keep him in a home made rabbit hutch inside a storage portion of my step...

I would but, no, I would have to get it together as most of them are simply her own little changes to someone else's recipes. I guess that is what most cooks do, but many of them write them down. For the most part I know she does not. She learned to cook with me as the guinea pig, so I do...

Many things could be said but consider that with the birth of Seth's son what men did... "And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD." Gen 4:26 And then what is it that Jesus says we should do, but ask "in my...

The proof of course is in the heart of those who receive and work in the gifts. They themselves can see them and others with eyes to see also see the work of the gifts. When a person has no faith in God's gifts his negative faith makes him blind. This is the spiritual blindness of dead men. All...

Only two choices, Helen: God's Way or not. Most people have chosen the "not", but even many who seemingly have chosen God actually straddle the fence with the of being spit out of His mouth. As to God controlling people, He does not, at least not while they still on their course in this veil...
