It is not in the bible.....sola scripture

Sorry - I didn't mean to confuse you more than you already are . . . Why don't you post the rest of what Jesus says in this passage instead of cherry-picking??

    The unforgiveable sin ?

More Scriptural ignorance. Don't you ever tire of being proven wrong?? First of all - Jesus never condemned Tradition. In fact - He employed it. ALL Traditions are "of men". - and Jesus and the NT writers relied on it: Matt. 2:23 - the prophecy "He shall be a Nazarene" is ORAL TRADITION. It...

    The unforgiveable sin ?

And repenting is part of enduring/overcoming. Believing is NOT overcoming. James 2:19 tells us in no uncertain terms that even the DEMONS believe and tremble. Have THEY overcome?? Are THEY saved?? You're very confused . . .

    The unforgiveable sin ?

No - "overcoming" is enduring to the end. Faith is faith and believing is believing and they are never spoken of as "overcoming". Do you feel that ALL of your sis are forgiven - past, present and future without having to repent. If so - SHOW me that passage in Scripture. Chapter and verse, please.

    The unforgiveable sin ?

Scripture was never meant to interpret "itself." This is the false Calvinist doctrine or Perspecuity. As for Sacred Tradition - YOU may reject it, but the Word of God doesn't: 2 Thess 2:15 "Stand firm and hold fast to the TRADITIONS you were taught, either by an ORAL STATEMENT - OR by a letter...

It is not in the bible.....sola scripture

Like I said – I apologize for the big word (polyvalent). I never had a doubt that this would be troublesome for you. a ) The Woman symbolizes Israel, from which Christ came out of. b ) She also symbolizes Mary, His mother who bore Him. a ) The crown of 12 stars symbolizes the 12 Tribes of...

It is not in the bible.....sola scripture

WRONG.. I never said it didn't have anything to do with Mary - so why LIE about it?? I said that the "mother's children" mentioned in Psalm 69:8 were referring to Israel. What makes Rev. 12:1 a polyvalent symbol is that it represents more than one thing - hence the prefix "Poly".
  8. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

No - it's because you don't know how to interpret that passage. You pervert Scripture to suit your agenda.
  9. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

Overcoming is NOT believing. It's enduring to the end. Rom. 10 9 is about initial belief and salvation. There are MANY more passages that speak about LOSING this if we do not endure in faith and obedience (Matt. 7:19-23, Matt. 10:22, Matt. 24:13, Matt. 25:31–46, John 15:1-6, Rom. 11:22, 1 Cor...
  10. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

No - you're twisting Scripture. Peter spoke wisely about you . . . 2 Pet 3:16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other...

Why do they hate being called Christians

Neither will twisting the Scriptures . . .
  12. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

No - my memory is fine. It's your twisting of Scripture that is problematic . . .
  13. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

And your rendering of Rev. 3:5 and Rev. 22:19 is perverted - as is your understanding of 1 John 5:45. First of all - the latter passage doesn't speak to perseverance - but the Revelations passages DO.
  14. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

    Looks like it . . .
  15. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

Ahhhh, yes. that was the conversation we had where you revealed your many, many unbiblical "Judgments"..
  16. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

And, notice what God says about CHRISTIANS who lose their way . . . Rev. 3:5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. God cannot blot out a name that was never...
  17. BreadOfLife

It is not in the bible.....sola scripture

The Woman in Rev. 12 is a polyvalent symbol (sorry for the big word). She symbolically represents Israel from which Jesus came out of - and more literally represents Mary who actually gave birth to Him.
  18. BreadOfLife

Why do they hate being called Christians

And what does the Book of Revelation have to say about people like you who think they have a lifelong guarantee of Heaven - no matter WHAT they do?? Rev. 3:5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his...

    The unforgiveable sin ?

What utter ignorance. Jesus's words in Matt. 7:21-23 are talking about a FUTURE even: Judgment. It doesn't matter WHEN it was said because, 2000 years later - it still hasn't happened.
  20. BreadOfLife

    The unforgiveable sin ?

Translation: "I have NO idea how to interpret Matt. 7:21-23 so get off my back!" That's what I thought . . .
