    A most shocking response

And who is it that is or will be part of the Body of Christ? One verse that comes to mind is this one: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matt 7:21 Perhaps consideration of that...

Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy

"Ears to hear" are required to hear and understand God's message to us: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Rom 10:17

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Of course my point is simply that I cannot know that a person on his death bed was or was not saved unless God let me in on the final decision for that particular case. He has not done that for me for anyone yet. As I though I said, generally, I would say that people who express an interest in...

    Unforgiveable Blasphemy?

What a person is now is known only definitely by God. If a Catholic asks me an honest sincere question and really is interested in my point of view I will usually try to answer him. Why is a person a Catholic rather than being something closer to what I am? This is a hypothetical question and I...

    Unforgiveable Blasphemy?

What does where Peter was have to do with it? He was a man as we are men. He was called to be an apostle. I am not. From what I know about Peter, he was part of the Church. You may be able to add to that, but at the moment I cannot.

    Unforgiveable Blasphemy?

"via the Church" is likely the problem we have twinc. The Church is all of the members of the Body of Christ. If I am a part of that Body, I do qualify. You surely would not go so far as to deny that I am, would you?

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

I would certainly agree that probably most of the time you would be correct, but...but perhaps that person was already hungry and thirsty for the righteousness of God and in those final moments left to him, God gave him exactly what he was seeking for so long.

    Unforgiveable Blasphemy?

Is this a judgment you are allowed to or qualified to make? You lump all non-Catholics together as missing the mark. Surely you don't mean this no matter what you may think about me. Everyone is allowed to discuss, but only people who are led by the Holy Spirit will get to where God wants them.

Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy

Oh yes, it is much brighter here than where I have been, I am, but before I see a greater Light and toward that is the Way I am wanting to go. Remember and understand what Paul wrote: "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know...

    Unforgiveable Blasphemy?

The good thing is that there are Catholics who are not stuck in such a rut, although, likely if some of the positioned members of the hierarchy really understood where those Catholics were it might stir up needless trouble for them. I say this because I was a Catholic and I loved God even though...

    Unforgiveable Blasphemy?

Twinc I believe takes the general Catholic view that much of the gospels in particular are not addressed to you and me directly. It was addressed to the apostles. You and me can read it, but if we interpret it and it disagrees with the official interpretation then we are of course wrong. He also...

    Saved By Fear?

I do hear you on the Christian tribalism. It still exists today, I believe, in too many places. Too many people are more interested in establishing that their particular niche is the best one rather than in moving closer to whatever God really wants.

    Saved By Fear?

@GodsGrace Reading your OP what came to my mind was the time when hellfire and brimstone preaching was a common thing. Did anyone come to God as a result of being afraid of such messages instead of finding themselves immediately in love with God? Perhaps it is as I see many of the churches...

I have all of the answers I need to continue on the pathway God has put before me. You don't like my answers so I don't want to waste my time or yours by stating them here. I will say that I see the Light and that I am approaching it. Give God the glory!
