Our task may include exerting a Christian influence, but we should be doing that even if we are very naïve and completely ignorant of much that the secular and supposedly Christian world are doing around us. My own ignorance of a lot of worldly things does not bother me so long as I am on the...

And according to our personal knowledge how is it that we would know which ones, if any, are striving to present the truth?

Like wars where it has been difficult or impossible to find a good reason for our involvement.

Several good answers here even though viewed together they may to some seem to contradict each other. This is perhaps why Jesus spoke in parables and why there is a gift of speaking in an unknown tongue. "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Am I correct in thinking that the subject here is now pronouns? Neutral versus feminine versus masculine or even someplace else when the gender is in doubt or in flux? Where are we, the believers in Christ, heading? Help us dear Lord!

Well, I for one look forward to reading many of his posts. Sometimes they are over my head, but that's OK as well. He is searching always. He is a believer, but exactly in what is a point raised by some of his posts and his questions, I believe. Is there anything of our set of beliefs/doctrines...

But... meeting is not the same as knowing, is it?

But "its" is not even the same thing as "it's". Is either one of them ever Holy?

Herein is a problem with discussing the Holy Spirit. Presumptions may be made with regard to what God is or is not. Some do not embrace a Trinity, so then off we go on another tangent. Is it important? What is a "super doctrine"? Do the scriptures support or even discuss such a doctrine?

Speaking of the person of God or of the Holy Spirit can certainly be confusing unless we have more than one definition for the word "person". I would not have a similar problem speaking of the man, Jesus, but that is a little different. Perhaps the difference is some of the early impressions...

Everything that God gives is "very good" and is most certainly needed by the anyone for which it was intended.

And then there were two, and then a multitude! Hmmm?

Sometimes good English seems to require "it" even if we don't speak good English. What are we do with "it"?

His needle apparently is stuck and he has never learned how to properly align it so the song may properly continue. The instruction from God is always there, but sometimes people have decided that anything which disagrees with their own entrenched set of beliefs is not from God, but from...

The best answer of course would be for everyone to serve God for real, but that has not happened and is unfortunately unlikely to happen. Men have, as always, come up with alternative ways to fix the underlying problems. As so often has been the case it is too little and/or too late.

While I hear you, it is not the buildings for gathering that are the primary problem as much as it is the people looking for an easy way to receive all of God's blessings and avoid any curses which might apply to them. People are lazy and selfish. I do not exclude myself in this... and those...

The verses are very appropriate, but how many ministers are teaching or preaching them? And for those who are, how many of the would be hearers are hearing? Jesus, the Word came among us and He was rejected and crucified by the ones who should have flocked to His banner. After what should have...

Thank you for your concern sister. I do manage when it catches my eye unless in addition to being small it is also lengthy with no breaks between paragraphs.
