While I realize much of the Bible is metaphorical, in this case I think Jesus was simply referring to 12 hours (of day light) each day. After 2,000 years, it should be rather late when we were in the last hours then.

Not to hijack the thread but this verse undermines the Bible's prophetic integrity. "Soon" may be vague but 'last hour' is hard to rationalize = 2,000+ years.

Pot calling rice black. A cult considers a man as God. The select groups you cited reject the man is God thesis.

False? No. You are confounding God's Judgment against Israel in Jer 27 with this thread's topic to obey government. Another verse that supports Franklin's quip is Jesus' famous 'give unto Caesar what is Caesar's' because our liberty is God given and us abdicating what God gave us is not a...

I did not do this, am not a JW and it is totally irrelevant to this thread. Trinitarians wish the prologue of John proclaimed Jesus was God. It does not. In fact, the Gospel of John has more verses damning to trinitarianism than any other NT book. In 17:3, Jesus says his Father is the one true...

As is it is not possible to be referring to different rocks; Or AS IF 1,000 years before Jesus was born, Psalm was referring to someone not yet born; OR there is any prophecy of the Father becoming the Son. We know the rocks are different because the rock in Psalm 89:26 specifically says the...

2 Corinthians 3:17

The verses you quote is a consequence of God's Judgment on Israel.

That's nice but Jesus is not God and we know this because Jesus died and was resurrected while the Bibles teaches us that God is Spirit and never changes.

Obeying righteous government is expected. Rebellion against tyrants is obedience to God. Benjamin Franklin

If these verses do not go against trinitarianism, yes, I will ignore them. Thanks.

My guess is the traditional churches feel betrayed by the Great Schism and Protest Reformation.

No. Jesus is our Lord. Jesus' God is LORD, the only God.

ROFLMAO. This thread is about verses that go against trinitarianism. Not sure what verses you are referring to but I suspect they are off topic. :-).

One of the best examples of recent times is the current pope chastising the US for putting up a wall while the Vatican has the tallest wall of any capital city in the world! Matthew 7:1-2.

That's EXACTLY right! Scripture ends with the Apostles, not their successors into infinity and beyond.

Odd paraphrase. The VOICE translation says 'the faith that was entrusted to the saints' not the Roman Catholic Church. Friend, I don't believe in RCC; I believe in God and his anointed.

The Father only, is God. Every Epistle says so. These verses must be a thorn in your side. And he will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’ Psalm 89:26 “Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and...

Appeal to Strawman. I really believe Jesus when he said he was going to his God in John 20:17 and that his Father is the only true God in John 17:3 and the only God in Mark 12:29 and I believe God in the 1C and Mark in 1:1 that Jesus is the Son (NOT God) as Jesus himself said in Mark 14:61-62...

It's so funny how you put yourself in the judgement seat and me in the petitioners seat.
