Self analysis of your Christian witness

Of course he may have been speaking of being completely dead [ question from @VictoryinJesus ] or already being an overcomer before they threw the dirt over his face.

Well since you put it that way, I guess I'll have to show up tomorrow. Where is that free beer now? Note that I fell in love with beer during my year in Germany [1969-1970]. In the United States I always have to drink imported beer or more expensive beer to enjoy. I honestly haven't had a beer...

Can anybody really tell what time it is?

I still see the Bride as a group, but a smaller one which has been or is a part of the larger group, the Church. There is a seemingly contradictory aspect to it which is clear at times and at others like right now eludes me completely. When I search for it I cannot find it. Usually it appears...

Can anybody really tell what time it is?

When we are completely dead is likely when have completely overcome the world as Jesus did. How do we know when that has happened? Yes, indeed, that is the question, isn't it? And then you if you did try to explain or describe what or where you were, you at times would be called names or told...

Why did God love and forgive David so?

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt 6:33

Why did God love and forgive David so?

Actually I don't recall having ever heard of this, codependency, before. As then I guess people may be into things without knowing what they are. Everything right there on the platter for you. Churches do come to mind especially, but I would guess there are others also involved. People like it...

Why did God love and forgive David so?

God can really do much, but I believe that He wants people to come to Him primarily because they love Him rather than because He can give them goodies... First things first, but what should be first?

    ~ REAL CHRISTIANS ~

Some of these people who are goads in our sides or even bullies at times may work for the left hand of God. They do have a purpose in His plan, but if they offend it could well be a woe onto them: "Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that...

    ~ REAL CHRISTIANS ~

Consider when Jesus was saying some hard things and even some of his disciples were leaving him: "From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?" John 6:66-67 Why did they leave Him? Why did the ones who...

    The Holy Spirit ?

Actually while I kind of thought of it that way for before that, a discussion with our old friend Kerry some years ago helped clarify it for me. At first it had to do with colors in scripture. The discussion of colors led to the color of blood, which led to the discussion of the connection...

God Changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship To Sunday Sabbath

I did not say He was not concerned about them. I was rather emphasizing the importance of charity/love. Without it the best of doctrines held are worthless.

God Changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship To Sunday Sabbath

My point is simple! You have what you believe are correct doctrines, whatever they are, but without charity in your heart they mean nothing at all. The heart is where God looks without regard to the rightness (or wrongness) of your knowledge or your doctrines, etc.: "Every way of a man is right...

Self analysis of your Christian witness

@"ByGrace" And the response should be...? "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." James 2:17 What it means to me is that faith produces works. If it does not it is dead and is not the real faith God desires What is takes is what God speaks to our heart as we are...

Self analysis of your Christian witness

My dogs are gone now, but when they were with me, without looking at the clock, they always knew when it was time to go for their walk.

God Changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship To Sunday Sabbath

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not...

God Changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship To Sunday Sabbath

Amen! God is looking to our hearts rather than so much at our doctrines, and at our routines and at our church attendance [and/or the lack thereof]. Give God the glory!

Why did Jesus come and what was his work?

Yes, Jesus coming always in God's plan. Everything he did was according to that plan. As we serve him we should all continue to grow closer to him. So then we must learn more of him, no? "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your...

Can anybody really tell what time it is?

Absolutely! I also do not let myself get hung up because I cannot see something I believe as clearly as I would like or even at all. When it comes down to it, we do still live for God by faith rather than by knowledge of all the details.

Self analysis of your Christian witness

In the time that we have until there is no more. Paul spoke of having finished his course [II Tim 4:7]. Was it likely that he was about to die physically when he wrote that?
