The thread is about proof. Since there is no proof - and apologists must rely on mysticism - you all should just admit there is no Scriptural proof. I've repeatedly pointed out the most significant proof is what is absent from 66 books; the most significant proof that Jesus is not God is that...

One does not have to be God to be guilty of blasphemy.

The church that protects me from being attacked instead of the argument. Although what you wrote is not proper English, I think we are saying the same thing; that John 17:3 shows Jesus stating that his Father is the ONLY true God. all who receive Me will experience everlasting life, a new...

Hidden In Him, thank you for your thoughtful post. So, you are parsing <The Spirit of the LORD> from a <spirit of depression>; a being with an attitude or mental state? I do like that but both the NSRV and NKJV emphasize from the LORD. How do you reconcile that? There are many other verses in...

There is a lot of this in the Bible. Person X does things through Person or Thing Y. For instance, God humbled Pharaoh indirectly via the 10 Plaques. Your mother does things through you. In another thread, 2 poster's took a deep dive in who does things: God or the angels or prophets. Talking...

Not at all. The good news is not that God was resurrected from the dead. The good news is that God raised a man from the dead and that is the inheritance of us all! Again, see Acts 17:31. What does this verse mean to you?

Neither did Jesus, who Scripture tells us over and over is a man.

Meaning we are on the same page.

Exactly like us and God. See John John 17:22.

Do you know the difference between someone saying what they will do from someone else actually doing it?

Outside. God exists outside the universe. To say he is in heaven ignores the fact the he made heaven. He also exists outside of time. This one I struggled with for a while until I realized time is only relative motion of 2 things. Without motion, there is no time. Things have to exist in order...

Great show! My wife and I watched all the episodes. The show reveals bits and pieces. The girl has powers but unlike Carrie who was born with telekinesis powers, this girl was a product of experimentation, along with other children. The experimentation was driven by an evil vortex to an...

These sentences seem to contradict each other. I agree, he is Holy. And if evil comes from His hand, he must have evil to come from his hand, right? What am I missing?

We are all children of God. See 1 John 3:1. Like Jesus, we are God's adopted sons and daughters. This is why Jesus calls himself the Son of Man. Jesus is flesh, like us. God is Spirit. God raised Jesus from the dead. The Bible does not say Jesus raised himself from the dead. See the difference...

I've answered this a dozen times. God does not change. God does not 'become' anything. He already is existing, the great I AM. His word became flesh just as my word now becomes written. It is not I who is written. Words are not beings. So, you know you are being deliberately obtuse with this...

I'm not sure what this has to do with the OP?

Sadly, this is not true. Failure and death are options.

It's because of idolatry. Their man-made doctrine is more important to them than to fulfill the Great Commission. Let me tell you something in my real life. I let the light of God shine through me to others. People are attracted to me for reasons they do not consciously grasp. I am but an old...

Incredible. At the bar last night the bar keep who asked the 10 in my posse who was ready for another? Wouldn't you know it; all 10 of us yelled I AM. By your logic, there are all kinds of God's running around the world. :p

No. The true God is the Father in 1 John 5:20. Compare to John John 17:3. The idolatry is what you are advancing; that there is any God besides Jesus’ God. See Ephesians 1:2
