From our fleshly [carnal]viewpoint, it is always "today". We have memories of what we call the past, but how real are they? We speak of tomorrow, but Jesus says: "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the...

This would of course be good if it is what God desired, but it is not such a definite thing as that, is it? First we must make it to end on His side.

That would be a new one, even for twinc.

You've gone through this or similar occurrences previously. Most places you go you are likely to be hit with the same or worse. The good side is that there are others here you can communicate with in spite of differences. God is still working on all of us who continue to allow it. If you need...

@theQuestion Good job on verses posted through post #12. You must have realized long ago, that what people have themselves that is wrong is buried quite deep. They cannot get it out, nor can you nor I. Only God can and only He can do it if they have really opened themselves up to any changes...

Yes, a Catholic definition as if that were binding or accurate for any purpose outside the Catholic Church. I wonder if this is your definition or is it an official one of your church?

That is about it. His is just one more monologue of the many we have heard here and other similar places. I was a Catholic and then I was Oneness, Jesus Only [UPC], which is rejected by every mainline Protestant Church as well as by the Catholic Church. I purposely left the UPC because they as...

What is the earth? Is it not that from which God formed man? "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Gen 2:7 But if man was only a steward before he became a joint heir with Christ, perhaps...

Just keep smiling my friend and listening to God. From Him there is always more to learn if we are paying attention.

Seemingly Twinc wants no Catholics and nor on the fringe Protestants to use that verse in this discussion. That means me and probably many of the other more active participants on the forum. Either that or he does not even want us to participate in the discussion at all. Eh what say you...

If you recognize it such then you do, if you don't then I will leave the specifics alone. I simply read through the entire thread and your way of handling people struck me as often sarcastic or even unnecessarily insulting. If you say it was not, that is then between you and God. I am not your...

Does the sarcasm help get your points across? Did you not use sarcasm in this thread? For what purpose? Did Jesus ever teach in this manner? Even if you were right in every point, what would have you gained and what have you lost by a lack of charity? "Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but...

I try not to get into hell in a conversation because some say it is quite hot. Nonetheless I believe that very often that is exactly where we are while we are here. Jesus did come from the Father down to hell, did he not? He came to us in our hell to open the Way to a better place.

This may also be so.

@EndTimeWine Welcome to the forum as I may not have greeted previously elsewhere. I did not participate in your poll. If you had simply gave the two simply choices of Yea or Nay I might have considered it.

But no snow here!

Well God does know my heart as He knew it then. Along with King David I'd rather be in God's hands than in any man's because He does know all of the facts and judges fairly. Give God the glory!

I believe rather in the case of David that he was really willing to receive the prescribed punishment of death. God saw the true repentance in his heart and set aside the sin. Man does not do things that way, or rarely so. If a person is convicted of a murder in man's court system where the...

If I had been talking about you specifically, I would have mentioned your name or I would have spoken directly to you. Actually, I cannot recall any Catholic on this forum saying anything like "hell bound" with regard to non-Catholics. I certainly have encountered some non-Catholics who at least...

No, God requires no defense, but sometimes we by our convictions are required to provide one anyway.
