    Once Saved Always Saved

Woah! The hostility here is palpable. Purgatory is a great subject. Shouldn't it be another thread?

is being sad or expressing how you feel bad?

Lily, Please don't do that. I take it as a given that anything you post is from the heart. I don't sense you are a theoretical Christian but one who attempts to earnestly practices it. If you get confused about anything, I pray you consider this forum a safe place to open your heart in sharing...

    Theories of the Atonement

Why do you ask questions that were JUST answered?

Yup. The only alternative is universalism. Are you a universalist?

6 The Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, King of Israel, who paid their ransom, has this to say: Eternal One: I am at the beginning and will be at the end. There is no God except for Me Isaiah 44:6 (Voice) Nathanael: 49 Teacher, You are the One—God’s own Son and Israel’s King...

None of them are equal. Nice Appeal to Strawman.

    The Case Against the Trinity

    This is a good analysis.

    Who is Jesus Christ?

In no way does this verse support the trinity or co-equality.

Not sure how a thread about OSAS turns into you apologizing for Catholicism. I was raised Catholic then became a unitarian (not affiliated with the church by that name) but don't consider myself anti-Catholic, per se. While I appreciate the history of the early church, the claims of supremacy...

I've noticed you never quite provide the Scriptures you are relying on regarding the King of Israel kick you are on today.

Yes, we are as trinitarianism includes the man-is-god thesis. The entire Bible is written by unitarian Jews who reject the man-is-god thesis to this day. Supposing any verse supports anything but one God, the Father alone, it is wrong, imposing a trinitarian doctrine onto unitarian text.

I’ve already answered this twice and not sure why you are stuck on this apparent trap. What verses are you relying on in asking this question? I see you just summarily ignore the trinitarian problem that the entire Bible is written by unitarian Jews who reject the trinity to this day.

I already answered that question. “as taught in scriptures” is not the trinitarian take on the all Jewish unitarian text. And that is the problem with trinitarianism.

Well, in another thread I posted a whole video on point. I’ll look for it when I have time. While the Good News is that Jesus, a man like us was resurrected in a redeemed or glorified body and that awaits all believers, he is also our lowercase Lord. But he is only the first and last of the...

Most translations are made by a team. The NSRV that my wife got for Christmas had one editor for each of the 66 books + an overall OT and another overall for NT. I have a lot of respect for people who Undertake the translation process. In the case of the CEV, the target audience is 8th grade...

Street Preachers call out Roman Catholics at Easter

Yes! Isn’t that what we should do love as Jesus loved?

Well, aside from the worship part, yes. That the Spirit of God dwells in me is different from whom occupies civil or religious authority. Consider Galatians 5:22.

Oh Lord! You are over extrapolating linearly. Today we know more about Egyptian hieroglyphics than the KJV translators. It was Napoleon in the 1800's who discovered the Rosetta Stone.
