Amen! Even the smartest of men can know nothing of the things of God without God's help! Give God all of the glory my friend! Without Him we could do nothing! What would you say is the difference between what you had previously where the Holy Spirit was in you and the baptism of the Holy...

The verse you cited doesn't tell how to obtain the Truth. It only requires that we study. If study were alone were the way to find the God's Truth then the smartest, best students would be closest to God. There truly are atheists who are smarter and study the Bible more than some Christians...

Hi Thankful, I joined this forum myself a couple of years ago, & apparently posted a little at that time. Then I guess I found T2O & havent' been back here.

Very good answer here! I cannot explain it! God does know and we may know it in our hearts, but we cannot go through a closed door to deliver what God has given us to someone else. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he...

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb 12:2 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection...

It is right to love God with all of your heart, mind and soul.It is right to follow the Spirit of God rather than any other thing."...Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zech 4:6"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but...

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Rom 3:23"And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." Matt 19:17"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the...

While for English I always use and prefer the KJV, the Word of God is that which God "SPOKE". Everything that God wanted us to know can be found in a written Bible (nearly any version, translation or language), but I believe that even as the Truth was written in the first place by divine...

(thesuperjag;32418) If Yahshua did not come of a pure lineage, then He wouldn't be 100% Israeli / Jew. In fact there is no chance in the Old Testament where Gentiles can repent, but only in the New Testament where Gentiles can repent for their sins in the name of Jesus. As He is not only God of...

(followerofchrist;33229) We are sinners by nature. We have always sinned and will continue to sin! We will commit the same sin many times over, everyone does. Nobody lies just once, or has sinful thoughts just once, we just aren't like that. God knows this, he made us, he will always forgive us...

(Dukester;33223) Well said Jon,He does know our hearts and does know if we mean it,if we are just asking for forgiveness for the same thing over and over and over and over..etc again and do not mean it,do you think he will forgive,if we are not truly trying to stop!?? We must be returning His...

We agree that repentance is necessary!

How many sins are we allowed to commit and repent of before God willno longer forgive us?I won't say how many because if I am correct the answer would beGod's not mine.It was not until after the natural children of Israel had rebelled10 times that God forbade the promised land to them.In the...

Just a slight correction here with regard to the word "communion" not being in the Bible:"The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" I Cor 10:16"Be ye not unequally yoked together...

But...isn't it so much better to find out what God's will is for our lives and to do that every time? Isn't our purpose here to God?
