    Curious George (Carlin Style)

Paul’s instruction is for Christians / believers, not for you. You aren’t bound by scripture. What unbelievers do or don’t do is outside of Paul’s / my arena. Whether you criticize him or not is completely up to you to decide.

No. For example, a local city government proposes to raise property tax rates. There is no prohibition against criticizing the Mayor and City Council for proposing an increase in the tax rate. If the tax rate is nevertheless passed / approved through the mechanism prescribed by law, then the...

    Curious George (Carlin Style)

If President Trump requires them to do something which God prohibits them to do, then they shouldn’t do it.

No. Christians are to obey the government authorities except when those authorities ask (or require) them to do something which is contrary to what God requires of them. I offered you a couple of examples.

    Curious George (Carlin Style)

You really don’t see the applicability of Romans 13:1 to the realm of politics / government? All government involves politics.

    Curious George (Carlin Style)

You think true Christianity preaches something that it doesn’t. That’s an education problem combined with a heart issue. *** “Love your neighbor as you love yourself” isn’t “concern yourself only with the hereafter”.

    Curious George (Carlin Style)

Have you considered that sometimes God gives rebellious people the rebellious leaders that they deserve? There’s only one perfect government - the Messiah’s.

    Curious George (Carlin Style)

Thanks. That’s not what true Christianity preaches.

    Curious George (Carlin Style)

And you equate not worrying about worldly matters (in the context of politics) with preaching that Christians are to only concern themselves with the hereafter. Right?

    Their kingdom

Another member of the forum has me thinking about trinitarianism, and I don’t think about trinitarianism without thinking about the architects of trinitarianism. Consider this from one of the major figures in the formation of trinitarian dogma: ”The mind ascends to God not through the...

    Still the same

From my X / Twitter “For you” feed this evening - “The Nicene Creed has united Christians for over 1,700 years.” (Josh Barzon) https://x.com/joshuabarzon/status/1991929606887071753?s=61

Thanks. Just to be clear, you think the passage says Christians are not to worry about worldly matters. Right?
