    Christadelphians, the Devil and Satan

When I retired and returned to my home state, I contacted the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith (located in Perryville, Kentucky). http://www.cgaf.org/ The leader there was cordial - very much like @TrevorHL - and discussed my interest in possibly attending. (It’s less than a 60 minute...

    Christadelphians, the Devil and Satan

Thank you for sharing this information with me and with your other readers. Without checking to see, I have probably half a dozen Christadelphian books in my personal library. I’m very familiar with Christadelphian history, Trevor. A group that I’m very loosely / tenuously connected with...

    Contending with the devil

“Anyone who’s ever read the Bible knows that satan hates people, vehemently.” (Jennifer Bagnaschi, “5 Reasons Why Satan Hates You”) https://deepbeliever.com/5-reasons-why-satan-hates-you/ The real Satan does vehemently hate people. One of the Christadelphians is boasting that he is battling...

    Contending with the devil

No existence = no threat. “The devil wants us to believe he is not real. His work in this world is much easier if we think he does not exist. After all, how could we fight an adversary if we don’t even know he exists?” https://www.goodcatholic.com/lies-the-devil-wants-us-to-believe/ He is crafty.

Origin stories which don’t exist for people, places and things mentioned in the Bible

He’s using their argument to try to persuade readers that the devil and the demons aren’t real. The purpose of this thread was to address the foolishness and futility of using that approach. There’s no conversation to be had with this particular Christadelphian. On the whole, I’ve always...

Origin stories which don’t exist for people, places and things mentioned in the Bible

I don’t know what you believe about Satan and the demons @pandaflower. If you believe they are fallen angels then the Christadelphian will insult you and boast about battling against you - one whom he considers to be in a group which he calls “the satans”. He’s waging a spiritual war against...

Origin stories which don’t exist for people, places and things mentioned in the Bible

Yes. If you ask him, he’ll confirm that he is. Christadelphians don’t believe that Satan and the demons are fallen angels. He’s been using an argument borrowed from atheism to underpin his belief.

Origin stories which don’t exist for people, places and things mentioned in the Bible

There is no argument which supports denying the real personality of Satan and the demons. The atheists and the Christadelphians are blinded on the matter.

Origin stories which don’t exist for people, places and things mentioned in the Bible

The atheist / Christadelphian “no origin = not real” argument is fallacious. In order for it to be valid it has to work in all cases. Clearly, it doesn’t. The atheists will insist that it does work in all cases. The Christadelphian has conceded that it doesn’t.
